Reversed Intake Manifolds: Who's got 'em?
My car's off the road for a while whilst I sort out a 6 speed conversion and I'm looking at changing a few aspects of the engine bay.
One of the things that's taken my fancy is turning the inlet manifold around, removing the air-con (because its never worked and i never really use AC) and moving the alternator to its location.
Pictures, hints and tips are always welcome.

Because I'm running a front mounted intercooler, the oil cooler will be competing for the same space as the main inlet pipe feeding the throttle body, so by turning the manifold around, there wont be conflicting space issues.

One of the main reasons I'm flipping it is to make use of the bonnet scoop for an oil cooler assembly.

Flipping Intake manifold is due lag(as many people said and i'm saying its only marginal gain in lag),but main reason for flipping Intake Manifold is Rotated turbo or other reason.

I've already created the 'chimney' to duct the air that goes through the oil cooler down and out through the right hand side of the gearbox.
The chimney has been coated in Zircotec to help prevent heat transfer.
I'm unable to put another cooler at the front of the car. I already have the radiator, intercooler and power steering cooler taking up the frontal area. There's very little space left.
I'm not too bothered about heat soak in general as the car is only really used on track, plus the oil cooler core has a thermostatically controlled fan on the rear which is also independantly switchable via the ECU.
