Default classic wrx project.

hi im new to the impreza but got offerd a wrx for a price i couldnt turn down but the engine has rod knock. crankshaft or shells.

so just going to rebuild. here is some pics of the car and where i am up to now. please let me know what you think

cheers for the comments no not hanging around doing as much as i can when im off work. and my liitle girl is due to be born in 6 weeks so getting on with it while i can lol.

i got the car for 600 of a mate who bought to turn into a track car. but i told him it would be a waste so i had it off him will put all pics up as i go along.

ok well today my mate karl stripped the block to find out what was wrong and just as he thought the shells had seen better days i will let the pics do the talking.

If you have knackered shells you need to check the crank tolerances and the rods. Normally one doesn't go without the other unless you are very very very very lucky

Coming along though. As someone else said you have a bargain. looking forward to see this thread develop
