Hi Scot, nice one. Is that a STiIII type R?

If so, do you mind me asking how much you paid for it, cause I want one...

I dunno. Its got the old style bumper, but it looks like its been registered as a T, which is the year after the v4. Would prefer a blue one though.

Edited to say: I think the v4 had a roof vent as well...

Scooby - That's the one I saw. We looked at a Suzuki Cappuccino about 6 months ago that was aledgedly 'mint' which was actually 'sh1te'. We drove over 100 miles to see it after being assured there wasn't a mark on it....

Dan - The v4 didn't have a roof vent, just RA's or V-Ltd or some other special.
The front bumper is identical to a v4 but thinking about it, not sure the v4 type R had the front splitter, the v3 did....... Too many models...

Agreed. Too many models. Just been on the SIDC FAQ's to try and solve it. Will bow to your superior post number though

http://www.sidc.co.uk/faq.htm
Check out the 2.1.1 Japanese Production Run bit.
There are a few typos in there as the STi4 appears in upto Aug 00

Learn something new everyday. It would seem I should be refering to my car as a MY98 not an MY97 LOL Only had it two and a half years...

So - Scot123 We need to know whether your chasis number is GC8D2DD or GC8E2DD?

We await with great anticipation.

Whoa !!!

The thread moved and it looked like nobody replied!

It a type III P reg 1997 STI type R.

It isn't any of the chassis numbers above, came straight of the boat and I bought it from Dicksons of Dunblane (who imported it).

Hope this clears it up
