Default Picture Request - Blobeyes with Eibach or Prodrive Lowering Springs

Hi all

Just a quick request if you don't mind

I'm looking at getting some lowering springs for my 03 WRX in the next few months and would like to see some before/after shots of where you lot have had this done so I can see what difference it would make to the look of the car.

I'd rather see blobs if possible but I guess any Newage pics would be great

Thanks
Gary

I looked into this while I had my WRX and came across this thread which you may find useful:
https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...ns-wanted.html

On it 53WRX (who still posts on here) added a before and after pic of a blue Blob WRX with Prodrive springs

Thanks for that Flaps. How are you getting on with your STI since the upgrade from a WRX?

Well mate, cheers, I was sad to see the WRX advertised at the dealers though. They shifted it after only a few weeks too! When I worked out what I wanted to spend on it though it made sense part-exchaging for a newer STI.

The new car feels far tighter than the WRX did and the seats are harder. The ride is sometimes bouncy which is weird but the power's nice. I thought i'd struggle with the 6speed gearbox but it just comes naturally now, I was even looking for 7th this morning! The wife still prefers the WRX to the STI though.

I take it you're the guy on SIDC with the same user name?

Yes mate that's me. Thanks for the feedback some interesting points you've made below because as you know I've been wrestling with either getting my WRX upgraded or buying an STI. I'm having a remap, exhaust etc done first week of Feb which should see me pushing 260-270bhp and following that Prodrive springs however I'm still bugged by the fact there is a better model out there. it's my daily driver though so the comment you made about the seats being harder in the STI is interesting as one of the things I like about my car is the seats

My STI had only done 18k though where as my WRX had done 50k, so that could have made the seats slightly softer.

I priced up all those mods and there would have been very little difference between doing them to my WRX or trading it in and putting that amount to an STI of the same age. Personally if you've never been in an STI i'd go and have a look/drive of one before you mod yours further, that should help you make your mind up. If you lived up North then i'd take you out in mine!

I agree on the bug bear of there always being another model considered better, all my life i've suffered from that. First car was a Mini, not a Cooper, second was a Mini, looked like but not a Cooper. Next car was a Saxo VTR, not a VTS, then I got the WRX... This time I though 'sod it'!

I know how you feel my first car was a Saxo VTR and 2 months later my twin brother bought a VTS!!!!!! Needless to say I wasn't happy!

I'm getting the mods done anyway as it's all booked in so maybe after that I'll take one for a spin to compare

That's dangerous! I'd try one first and cancel the mods if necessary. You might want to stick with yours after all!

I'll take the risk at least some additional power will keep me amused for a bit longer while I continue to save for my next car!
