Default Anyone running Purspex/Plexan Windows

Anyone running the above windows?

I want to see what they look like in your impreza, and how have you mounted them?

Cheers

James

Hard to fit to an Impreza mate. Due to having no door frame the plastic tries to depart the car at speed as the wind get through the rubber seal.

My mistake. Looks like John Stevenson is running them in Time Attack.

Wonder how they have managed to do this then without the flapping about at high speeds?

I was going mould the Plexan to the shape of the original windows (using a heat gun with the Plexan on top of the original window to melt the Plexan a bit and sag down into the shape of the standard glass window)

But was un sure how others have mounted the windows without a runners

Maybe ask over on 22b. I think Andy F had them in his old car as well ( not 100% sure on that one though )

My mate runs them on his yellow type R and the trick is to fit little brackets at the top so the window hooks underneath them

Here you go

Because the window is flexible it bends underneath the brackets as you close it

Hmm would be interested if anyone can get better quality close ups... but i can kinda see it

Might be less effort to keep the standard windows lol, although they dont work (need manual ones)
