Default Out with the old...

After four great years with it, time has come to say goodbye to my 04 WRX, it's getting traded tomorrow

Someone's going to get a cracking car but things change; the tax was getting expensive, mpg wasn't great, many people consider the brand 'chavvy' and now i've daughter I felt it was time to move on so tomorrow I pick up this...

I'll report back on the differences when I get it home Christmas has come early!

I'll be getting a front splitter on it pretty soon but apart from that, the plan is to just enjoy what it's already got.

Apart from the wheels being painted it's standard with just one previous owner, on a 57 plate and with only 18k miles on the clock

I'm sure at some point though I 'may' have to tinker with a few bits I did change a few things on the WRX in the four years i've had it.

It's funny, that picture is probably the best one i've taken of my WRX and it was just a quick snap on my mobile today, the day before it goes.

Thanks for the comments

Yeah I washed the old one The new one needs one too though, it wasn't quite cleaned to my standards.

+ points on the move
Far smoother engine.
The whole car feels better built, certainly more solid.
Far quieter, both the engine and exhaust, which the neighbours will like.
The headlights are a large improvement over the old ones, much more of the road is illuminated now.
The dash is better and I like how it lights up at the start (i'm easily pleased )
Oh and it's faster

- points
It's quite a bouncy ride.
The gearbox is taking a while to get used to (from 5 gears in the WRX to 6 in the STI).

I was sad to leave the old one but think me and the STI will get on fine
