Default Attacked my blob with a clay bar and a Meguiars G220 today

Here are some pics taken today after a clay bar and Meguiars step 2 polishing session:

The Meguiars G220 is a godsend

Didn't get a chance to apply any wax today, i've covered her up and will be giving her a couple coats of wax asap.

Just out of interest did the clay bar work ok. It's just I'm wanting to do mine. But have been told that they can scratch the car. Not sure if paint is different on a classic.

Thanks mate, i used a auto-clay clay bar. Highly recommend it, it is very easy to use and can be lubricated using water.

I had no problems at all with it, aslong as you keep the panel lubricated i cant see the auto-clay bar doing any damage tbh.

The only thing bugging me is that i couldnt remove a few spots of tar that have baked themselves onto a couple of the panels over the last few months. I spent hours using tardis but couldn't get them off, has anyone got any tips/suggestions on how to get these blasted things off? Oh and i ran out of tyreshine

Engine bay is filthy at the moment still running the stock engine, the knocking sound was a loose plug on the 3rd cylinder! I found it a couple of weeks back when i went to change the plugs, the last time they were changed was at the main dealer service 20k miles ago. I also had an issue with it smoking on startup and when it was standing in trafic but this stopped as soon as i fitted an oil catch can with the original pcv still plumbed in. The old boy is running very well

Did you have to have the arches pulled/rolled to fit the wheels?
What size tyre are you running?
