We headed off to the Lake district on Sunday and came back this afternoon. While we were there, I took the car up Kirkstone, Hardknott and Wrynose passes, aswell as visiting some other picturesque places, like Patterdale and Ambleside. Anyway, here are some photos....

 

I went to the lakes in my bug wagon in april- amazing scenery and some of the best roads i've ever seen- awesome in and out of the car!

Yeah, it was good fun, despite the Sunday drivers and pretty poor road surface. Looks like the winter has really taken it's toll on parts of the road

You had a really easy run up Wrynose without any oncoming traffic. Also that video made me miss that flat four burble...ooowwhaaa!

The car makes a lovely noise... Just going to take some practice to keep it on the boil on roads like that, not that you can go tearing along up there anyway really!
