Newbie's hawkeye WRX
Hi all, I've lurked for a while, I sold my 2005 Focus ST3 on Thursday and went looking for something totally different, everything from Land Rover 90s to VX220s, well, I got fed up, decided to have the best of both worlds (almost);purchased and drove away my WRX on Sunday.
It's got a few scratches and chips, inside and out but I hope to get these sorted soon. It is a world apart from the ST, I was expecting a real lack of midrange but if anything, it feels even quicker. I think the raw feeling of it helps.
I'm not massively keen on the colour at the moment but its growing on me.

Thanks for the comments, I've had to do a lot of research very quickly! Taking it to a local specialist on Saturday for a once over as I don't think its been serviced adequately.

I was a tiny bit dissapointed by the lack of exhaust burble, so that will probably be the first, nothing too loud, just more character. If the insurance company is kind to me come renewal time I might have a look at a tuning pack.
Another pic...
Actually, I've asked elsewhere, but can anyone confirm that it doesn't come with a lower grille?

lower grill is an extra u have to buy from the likes of zun sport, think the rb models come with them as standard,
as for modding do plenty of reasearch and read up on mods by andy forrest and duncan graham aka dynamix, they have plenty of info and will give u an idea and items u may need and what route u want to take,
plenty of gd people on here with lots of info and advice for whenever u may need it

Very nice car you have there. I have a very similar car to you and when I first got it I was a bit upset about the lack of scooby burble the same as you. A quick trip to Scooby World for one of their cat back systems and now the burble is there .

Thanks again guys. New question...Does the standard (not Type UK) WRX come with keyless entry? Parkers thinks so, and I've actually gone up to my locked car like an idiot and tried to pull the handle to no avail.
That's a good looking car Mark, I think I finally like (love?!) the colour
