Looking pretty GOOD under the bonnet Clive, just need the body detailed now and you'll be ready for the BIG shows.
Might get to Prodrive myself for the "ten" .

I assume you are taking about the P1 10th Anniversary on the 9th Hugh?
I am driving up on Sat & staying at the Holiday Inn (Banbury). I believe most rooms are taken by P1 owners .

The HI is fully booked now mate but there are still some rooms at The Avonlea Guest House (01295 267837) were some other P1 guys are staying.

mmmmm I wonder what Prodrive are selling off? Jimmy Mcrae's 6R4

Let me know if you are going on the 8th matey and we can drive up together. Two guys from Orpington will be joining us in another P1.

Fpan:
To clean the engine? Autosol followed by Meg' Metal Polish. Forget a cloth, apply with a toothbrush. Much better results & can get in the fiddly bits.
Autoglm Engine Cleaner. Water based & very good for the general appearance of everything.
Alternator = Wire Wool.
Autoglm Rubber something? (green gel) for all anything black.

Bodywork:-

Bucket of hot water
Fairy Washing Up Liquid (lemon)
Break 3 Shredded Wheats & sprinkle in bucket.
4 squirts of Mr Sheen
Half a tin of Pedigree Chum
4 crushed Asprin.
1 cup of Ariel Non Biological.

Mix well
Apply with Stiff Broom

Leave in sun to dry

Cataluna: lol I know what your saying but you will be amazed at the ****e that comes off every time.

Did you use a hose in the engine bay (after covering the electrics) to remove the AG engine cleaner or just cloths and lots of elbow grease?
I have seen detailers using water/hose in the engine bay but I don't dare to do this.

Lol @ bodywork
