carbon fibre roof fins?

Default carbon fibre roof fins?

sorry i dont no the propper name for them. best way i can describe them is carbon roof fins i have seen them forsale for scoobys but never seen them on one. any pics??

the rear diffuser for the roof thats on sale at scoobyworld? if so i'm interested myself but it says not for road use not sure why???

yes mate them are the ones, i cant see why they wouldnt be suitable for road use, maybee they are just covering there back uncase you get greif from the law. either way i want one

They are called a Vortex Generators - same as the Evo's had fitted.

They look alright , but Ive heard of them coming of at high speeds.

there are a few different types you can get - dont get the cheap fibre glass, get the more expensive plastic version less britle.

They have been known to break off at high speeds, there is another post somewhere on SN showing how it has broken off. If you're gonna fix it on, dont use the tape the supplier provides. Key up the surface area and vortex diffuser and use the magic black gunk bodyshopes use.

Had them on my old STI, never had any issues with it coming off even at high speed....

I'm tempted! could ask scoobyclinic to colour code them
to my car so they blend in

i was thinking that too, they still look cool in carbonfibre! i am convinced. i'm having one

how did you secure your's was it the tape that has been mentioned?

Got a dilemma now whether to go for a high level spoiler or the high level diffuser!! Not sure both would look quite right

The blades on the scoobyclinic vortex generator are much bigger than the ones that come on the actual Evo VG. Also the fins on the Mitsi one are angled where as on the Scoob they are all straight.

I had a colour coded VG on my Evo, can't really see it well but for your interest....

I have one on my car

I made extra sure the surfaces were clean, used the application tape provided and threw on a bit extra 3M tape and have not had any problems, even at high speed.

Thinking about it now though, a bit of that black gob stuff wouldnt be a bad idea, just to be extra safe!! DOH !!
