MY ULTIMATE IMPREZA .... MY P1.
#1
During my madness and insomnia last night I sorted out this little collection, apologies to the 56k'ers..don't know how you put up with it at the best of times.
The pics were not that clear due to rear lit screens I think cos LCD's and monitors always look shi$e in pictures.
The first few are the on screen graphical displays detailing diffeent ways to find the destination on a Nav Tek system.
This is the screen with the destination sorted on the move, with the mileage to go in the bottom right, the road your on and the next road at the following junction. The map will auto zoom in at a junction and clearly display the direction.... good at a busy roundabout.
You can zoom in or out at anytime
Telephone numbers of hotels, restarants, petrol stations can be accessed in all areas of Engalnd and Europe
Mileage and ETA shown, calculated keeping to speed limits of course.
3 random alternative routes per destination
Switch for watching DVD on the move and other **** is for controlling 2 12inch subs in boot.
The rest are pics of the amps install, 6 by 9's screwed to MDF and the 12inch Alpine enclosed subs.. Kevlar engineered animals screwed to MDF stuck to the carpet.
The amps are the 1507 which is the biggest runnin subs and the biggest 4 CH runnin the speakers can't remember No's... all speakers are the DDDrive componant speakers.
The only other extra is the Xbox under drivers seat whick is powered by an A/C adaptor the size of 2 20 boxes of cigarettes and the audio/video from the Xbox runs in through phono cables in the brainbox of the Panasonic setup.
There is one other in which will be used for a rear camera in the bumper which comes on auto when the cars in reverse.

The day I bought her August last year...without any mods except the mandatory front clear indicators, clear side repeaters and the rear light cluster changed to the red and clear ( I think I am the only P1 owner on here that I've seen to of done it)
Picture of my clean engine..... girlfreind thinks I need serious help!!...... with a few visable mods.
Picture of turbo with complete Scooby downpipe and centre with Magnex 6 By 4 backbox
HKS Racing suction induction which by the way blew two air flow meters in 10 days...... must be the way I drive!!
The only other engine cosmetic mod next is the complete Samco hose kit in blue of course with the spark plug leads in blue.
Pictures of the rest of my car I will post later in the week including the ICE install. I am hoping for some half decent weather so I can take good pics of the outside of the car with some nice backdrops.
Nice one AVI for explaining how to optimize the .jpegs and upload them with Turbosport.
Sorry if the post is a bit long.

Sorry to spoil your fun but you are not the only person that has clear indictaors, side repeaters and rear clusters. I have it on my P1 too. Look totally different now and also stands out from the rest!!

Looks very nice mate!
I can sympathise with you about your mrs.I'm now resorting to doing things in stealth mode ie Fittin lowering springs to my MY01 without tellin her
Look forward to seeing the rest of your pics. (I too like to keep a clean engine bay.I used to have a Fiat Uno Turbo that had been featured in Max Power and you could eat your lunch off that engine!)
Cheers,
Nick..

Cheers lads
From all the posts on P1's I've seen over the last 6-7 months I have seen loads of variations but till now not noticed anyone who has changed the rear cluster....... knew I could not be the only one with that idea even though there a right pain getting them out and resealling them with that orrible black sealant sh$t
I am hoping for a half day today so I can get out and take some pics of her when shes clean.
Watch this space.....

Top Pics. Whats the full Spec?
Would love clear rear clusters on my P1 (have front and side (stone chip broke my n/s front last week). I think visually the standard clusters really let the car down.
Could you let us know where you got them and how much?

LOL - porno in the car Wont be long before this thread is edited!
Like the defi gauge pod - looks awesome illuminated at night.
I also notice that the suede material on the prodrive front seats seems to wear very fast and looks worn after not many miles (read 20k) i.e. yours isnt the first P1 Ive noticed this on.

OK - prolly just my sh1te eyesight. The illumination of the gauges totally matches the dash dials at night. Is that a magnex oval BB?
Really nice set of detailed pictures. Now I remember why I want a P1

Yeap, Oval backbox Magnex. I have been told that the Magnex does not produce enough back pressure with the straight through Scoobysport system I've got. For this reason only I would have gone for the HKS T Hyper. However, it looks too big and in my opinion the 6 by 4 Magnex compliments the rear of Imprezas the best.
What I think you can see on the suede of the seat is only the way it rests after being brushed against in different directions, which is normal. My pal has got an older P1 and his is nearly 2 years old and 28k and the seats are fine.
PLEASE IF ANYONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET BLUE SPARK PLUG LEADS I WOULD BE FOREVER GRATEFULL.
Thanx
David.

nice car mate
but what you said about the HKS suction kit worries me
you said you blew up 2 airflow sensors is that true
because i am thinking to buy the hks filter but i dont want to destroy my airflow sensor
did anyone else came across this problem?
also which induction kit would you recon? this goes to everybody
thanks guys

The people I bought it off were concerned because they never had this problem before and they kindly after some gentle persuasion replaced £600 worth of air flow sensors.
Some input I got from them was all STi 5's air flow sensors were recalled in Japan before they were shipped or just after shipment. All STi 5's except the P1 which is a 5 were changed apparently. Prodrive got them did their stuff and sent them to the dealers without changing the air flow sensors. I didn't accept this as gospel but we were all amazed on the time it took 10 days for me to kill 2 of them.
As far as I know there generally fine..... v.noisy but with my ITG panel filter which is alot quieter and a fraction of the cost I can't feel any difference.

How do you know if your airflow sensor has gone? I have a problem with my P1 and I'm not sure what it is. So if you kindly let me know the "symptoms" of a blown airflow sensor it'll be much appreciated.
Cheers
