The RB5 has the WRSport logo on the clocks, but on the back it just has a prodrive sticker, and prodrive on the exhaust. The RB5 logo is under the side indicators. Will get up some pictures of mine, when computer is sorted.

Hi.
A general question - did Prodrive supply certification for the Uk Turbo WR Sport?
Have seen several advertised for sale in the past (without original bill of sale or certification) and both Prodrive and Subaru UK have no record of them being anything else other than a standard Uk2000.

The reg and chassis number was supplied in both cases.

Thanks

I've always loved those wheels, were they part of the WR Sport package?

The brakelight is on the lower part of the spoiler on a P1

I thought the WR was just a series of options, hence so many bitsa's

Hi guys, I've got a 1999 WR sport, had it nearly 9 years & still love it, done a few mods to it but still got all the original WR sports mods fitted to it :-
17" prodrive alloys,
prodrive suspension package,
colour coded mirrors and skirts,
prodrive rear spoiler (high level light),
white wr sport dash,
quick shift gear stick,
momo gear ****,
prodrive mats and boot mat,
prodrive (recaro) electric seats,
rear seats and door cards retrimmed in the same material as the seats,
hella driving lights
and of course the wr stickers on the wings & back

It had the prodrive engine upgrade aswell (suprisingly the engine power upgrade was not part of the WR sport package) but my mods have overriden this :-
Engine :-forged pistons, steel rods, front mount intercooler (APS), SR40 turbo (APS),
cold air induction kit (APS), duel stage blow off valve (APS), walbro fuel pump, lateral performance lightened flywheel & heavy duty clutch, scoobymania 3" straight through stainless exaust, ecutek remap (done by prosport in stockport) combined result is 357bhp & 315lbft torque (big smiles)
strengthened PAR gear set in the gearbox (blew up the std gear set)
brakes:- 335mm godspeed big brake kit on the front, grooved rear discs with mintex m1144 pads all round & goodridge braided hoses.
Bodywork:- clear side repeaters, clear front indicators, morrette quad headlamp conversion, MRO front skirt.
probably forgotten some things aswell :-)

The WR Sport package was basically all the prodrive option boxes ticked wasn't it? The RB5 came along after the WR Sport albeit was basically a flash WR Sport if that makes sense

Fond memories for me as first scoob I ever drove was a WR Sport

Are they the one's in the picture? Because they are different to the RB5 ones - which were only available on the RB5.

Correct the ones in the first picture were used by prodrive in 98 but for 99/00 they used a different wheel as these do no fit with the standard 4 pot calipers or pretty much any decent BBK. They are different to the RB5 wheels for the same reason, i.e RB5s have 4 pots.

The WR wing for the car above should be the same one as fitted to the STiV4 and standard MY99/00 UK cars, i.e mid level and not the larger one as fitted to the RB5 WR (non WR RB5s have the mid level too) further down. For MY99/00 Prodrive used the larger wing.

The MY99/00 WR cars do get a lot better kit than the MY98... including the large Prodrive Alcon brakes too.

Tony.

Hi all,
Following up on an old post.

I have the original Prodrive press car from 1997. I suppose this is the car that started it all for the 98 onwards cars!

It's just been resprayed due to rear arches.

Hope you don't mine but here's a couple of pics.

Sat with my RB5 #138

Very nice mate. Let me know if you fancy selling it any time soon, as that was the car that started my love for the impreza off.
