Default Red STI Hatch - Red light overlays, Clear Fog and LED Fog Bulb

Hi all,

After a couple of hours with the hairdryer, soapy water spray, plastic tool, Litchfield overlays and the lights - I am half way there.

Look pretty good up close (couple of minor imperfections but hopefully will settle over time). Fiddly job but big improvement when done.

Here are the before shots:

Lights being done (one finished, one untouched):

On the car:

Couple of other shots with the lights on:

The rain is not helping - it's been on all day and I now need to swap the red fog light for the clear one I've got from Revolution247 with a clear LED bulb for it. Then film that and the reversing light too!

Finally done at 19:30 - took a while!

Should say - done with lights out of the car in the kitchen!

VAST improvement...chav lights gone...

Parts used are:

Genuine Subaru Clear rear fog from Revolution 247 (£70 + delivery about £10 depending on order size...)
Fog Bulb - clear lights up red - Litchfield - (£13 including delivery)
Litchfield Film Overlay Kit - (£25 + VAT + Delivery = £38 approx)

Worth the cash.

Lookin good there dude.

Haven't seen any hatch's in red, looks very smart, think your rims in gloss black would set the car off nice.

good luck

Yeah - quite a few Red STI's in the states but very few here.

Looks amazing in the flesh in red - shows of the lines and shape well.

fitting the overlays on the car is much easier as you have some heating and stretching to do, fitted on the car keeps the lights in place.

looks good in the red

I'd go red - some good white ones on IWSTI.

Takes ages to fit them well and there will be a few "ARGHHHH" moments! But worthwhile as you can see.

Not that I want to imply mine are "well" fitted but the best job I could do I think as a novice. Not full of bubbles etc and hopefully will hold no probs.

Looks much better, you could also spray them in light spray and get a similar effect

Saw the light spray (a few in the states have done that) but I can easily remove these one if I need to, had I made a pigs ear of them it would have been easy to fix etc and they are much less likely to get scraped. Also, I'd need to have pretty superb masking lines around the indicators, reverse and fog light - not got those skills I don't think! lol

Looks good, vast improvement on the lights, why oh why are all the car manufacturers basing their lights on chav aftermarket look parts?
