The fronts bolt stright on but if you have 2-pots on the front you will need 295mm disc's.The rears need mounting brackets and 290mm newage disc's with 170mm handbrake.

Waste of money IMHO, better just focusing on the front where most of the brake bias is and upgrading the standard calipers to something like K sport or AP's

Car is looking good though wes get rid of that uk bumper and it may look like an STI
Oh and bin the crappy "drilled" discs, they crack under strain

Thanks for all the coments i am always pleased to see people's views give's me an insight into weather i have got it some where near right always try to build on the idea of what i want but must be pleasing for others to look at as well.Worked so far as won many things for my restored classic cars and bikes. This is what i had before the Impreza it was wrote off by some little s**ts

One of my restored bikes

I set my budget from the insurance pay out and planed what i wanted to do as this is my first modern car.The effect i wanted was somthing between a STI/WR Sport but as i say had a budget to keep and wanted to use as many Subaru parts as possible which i managed to do going only going over budget a bit But i did find most of the prices from Subaru very good but for some bit's i had to use a company in the usa hunting around is the key to keeping any budget i find.I felt the 2-pot rears made a differance but it was the look i wanted and i got them cheap I have used drilled disc's on the road for years with no problems, the problems i have read about are caused by track day's and over heating the disc's i do not do track days so should not be a problem.

Wez, did you change the rear brakes the same time you did the fronts?
Basically you wont feel any benefit from those rears as most of your bias is still forward, even in my V5 type R I dont feel any benefit, felt it with the AP's fitted though and you dont need to do track days for those drilled discs to crack either just some bad luck on the road, hence I just stick with the grooved ones

Looked a lovely 3ltr Capri shame it was written off

The rears went on when the recon fronts did and disc's at the same time.Yep shame about the Capri but was the final straw where old cars where concerned as the Escort i had before was also hit by vandels but i repaired it again then sold it.
