JK99's Type R - Story So Far.....
I see that the majority of you have your motors back after the melt-down so thought it was a bout time for me to put the Scoob back up for those of you interested.
How it all began......
I bought the car from lurch in March '08 and thre were a few issues that needed addressed. Braes, Monster Truck front Springs, Service, Belts, Gold Rims and a few other things I wasn't happy with. But i knew what I was buying so it began.
After a few months, Subaru Shocks, Apexi Springs, Anthracite P1 rims, DBA / Godspeed discs, Endless pads, Sunstripe binnage (the day after this pic) and some subtle decals and we get this:
It stayed like this for a while and then I decided to make a few changes and some sensible mods: Full Titanium Exhaust, Apexi Filter, Mapped and the very latest change - Compomotive MOs in the Old School 6 spoke design. A little nod to my former Fordy past.
It's a crap pic but here's an idea til I get some decent weather and when I actually get to use the car int he daylight again. What do you think? Not sure about them yet as I like the P1 rims, but they might grow on me:

Know what you guys mean, always liked the P1 rims but the MOs were too good to pass up.
Would probably go back to P1 rims if they were 18" flavour, but will wait and see.
At least I don't get folk asking me "How's the P1?" as much anymore. ****s.

Cheers for the comments guys.
And yeah, they're easier to clean. They're a better finish that my P1 wheels too which helps, just wish they didn't have the kerb marks etc. Ah well, I bought them like that with the intention of re-furbing them so I'll sort them in time.

Cheers man, appreciate it.
I've been meaning to PM you cos I tried to bell you about insurance. Ended up getting one of your colleagues and he just told me to not bother calling you as my quote was so good that I'd already had?? Drives an Evo I think he said.

Will do man. Need to leave it til next year now. Wasn't sure if £700 a year was too great at 26 with full NCB and 3pts but he seemed impressed!
Forgot to say, saw the pics of your Scoob a while ago and it looks lovely. All the right bits on it IMO.

Lovely R.
Personally, I'm a MO fan.
I guess I'm down the list but would happily take them off you if you wanted to return to P1 wheels.
Or... I have a set of anthracite 18" Redlines if you fancy a px..
If not, any chance you could point us in the direction of the MO supplier? Tried various websites and can't find the right size/shape/design anywhere.
