I saw a full on pucker one that had been ordered at St Leger Subaru last week.

This thing was a pure work of art. It weighed next to nothing and there was also some full on WRC Mirrors to go with it.

Suddenly the quality and weight made sense when I was told the price. Spoiler and two mirrors £7000 that's right folks not a typo SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS!!!!!!!!!

Hi mate, I'm afraid that's not a genuine WRC spoiler, just a standard STi spoiler with the slats fitted in. The real WRC spoilers overhang the bootlid by a few inches and - as Daz says above - cost a fortune!

Did do a search before this and saw a thread to stear clear from the cheapo ebay specials as they split not long after painting. I've seen one at HT auto's but it looks like they just use an STI spoiler and fit 4 fins having grooved the spoiler. That was 375. More my price range, :-)

Yeah - make your 25K car into a 400,000K car instantly

Do they really think people buy that sort of talk?
I know that answer is most likely yes, otherwise they wouldn't do it.

But are there really that many wide eyed boys around?

You're clearly clueless.

This will have a tenth of the weight of the STI 6 Spoiler and when it comes to drag and track cars with proper power that would be just the thing they are looking for.

This is NOT aimed as just a spoiler that makes some chavvy car look good. This thing is the real real. It will be made of proper carbon and will weigh nothing. It's not some heavy molded fibreglass rubbish!!

You're clueless with comments like that

Just think, you'll be able to turn your car into a real WRC car too
What sort of a percentage increase are you expecting on the value of your car with proper power?

Why don't you go to Prodrive and buy the "real" thing, and not some replica

Oh, and I hate to point this out, but it won't weigh nothing either

Each to there own, thanks for all the comments, I just wanted to see some pics and find out where you get them from. My decision is not to get a cheapo and I certainly don't have 7k or even 1.5k to spend on a spoiler so I'll stick to the stock spoiler, thanks all.

The real thing from Prodrive will cost you £7k as you will see from my earlier post I had one in my hands the other day and they really are a work of art!

The RCM offering has that much downforce the inserts between top and bottom of the spoiler were put in when the original design started bending at speed. Which is the main reason for buying one.

Yes it's expensive but it is the best spoiler for the classic out there bar none.

As for percentage increase you obviously know nothing about the lengths builders of race cars go to shed overall weight.

With regard to weighing nothing, clearly you took what I said literally. Obviously they do weigh "something" but they weigh considerably less than a standard V6 Spoiler.

Hopefully that clarifies it for you

Just to clear up a few things regarding my spoiler. Its not a RCM replica. Its a 2nd hand prodrive origional, made in Japan and built at prodrive, made from carbon, not fibreglass. When I took off the old and compared them both, the mould markings were identical and weight the same. I didnt get this to look "chavvy" (Im tooooo old for that). I wanted to get rid of the flapping at speed and didnt like the look of stiffies. Its not a WRC car and never will be and its not my pride and joy, my children are... This was different and I hadnt seen many like this before. Im sure its not to everyones taste, but I like it and so do my kids..

If it weighs the same it is NOT a genuine WRC spoiler.

The genuine WRC Carbon one I had in my hands the other day and this isn't an exageration I could balance it on my little finger without it hurting or just being too much for my finger to cope with it really was that light.

Yours looks good non the less

Just wanted to let you know that Ive spoke to Prodrive. The spoiler on mine is a "replica" of the one on a Prodrive WRC S12/12b rally car. Its not an origional because they used to make it at their composites department and not Japan, and its all one piece and not constructed in parts. I have one of the "replica" spoilers off the RCM website. I just wanted to say a BIG SORRY to The Grift for misleading him and to Daft Lad, urban, 53wrx, dazdavies, API and indeed anyone else who I might of mislead and confussed. I`m now gunna go into a darkened room and hit myself around the head with a big stick Sorry again chaps..

Hat off to you for coming clean mate

Not that it matters mind you as yours looks good anyway. I just knew that the one I saw the other day was the real deal and it astounded me how light it was.
