Default Rally replica. . .only been and gone and done it.

Hi all,Iv had her for a few years now and decided to go for a bit of a change.Im a compleat rally slag and have been all my life. . . so what else could be expected to go for the full effort. Here Iv started with the graffics but theres a lamp pod on the way along with roof goodies in the form of a scoop, ariels and one of those camera pod jobbies. :-) Just a few pics to see what you think.

Verdicts welcome on my £42 graffics kit fitted by my very self.

A credit card,a blade plus a water and baby shampoo mixture later. . . . . .I didnt think I did to bad.

heres before

And heres after :-)

Yeah looks a good job mate, how long did it take? also how did you do it? someone told me that you have to wet the car before placing them onto the car and sqeeze out any air bubbles and let it dry?

Exactly like that mate.

Washed the whole car compleatly (its usually pretty good on the polish side of things anyhow so was pretty clean) let it dry off compleatly then I started with all the small ones first.
In a spray bottle I mixed a little jhonsons baby shampoo and water (aparently anything else reacts with the adhesive) spray the area where I wanted it to go and stick away.Once you place youre lettering/sticker to the car the water and shampoo mix prevents it from sticking on contacts so its alot easier to move around to get exactly into place.A quick scan on the internet for a 2001 wrc pic made sure I was fitting things in the right areas and a ruler and white board marker made sure they went on straight.

Happy days.

All in all I took my time with it and I didnt rush one bit.It took me a friday night and over the weekend to completly finish.

The wheels are Revolution Millenium Rally wheels.Cost a bit more than you're average standard road wheels as they are a compertition wheel but Im sure all will agree they do suit rather well.
I had it on 18" team Dynamics Monza R's (as seen in one pic) but pot holes in my area and a certain trip round a Jim Clark stage proved that they were a bit on the flimsey side.Didnt want a repeat performance on putting flats in my nice wheels (I like to think I look after them) I decided to go for something a bit more BEEFY! They were very noticable before I fitted them to the car how much more strength they had in them and felt lighter than the monzas.

Where did you get the graphics as I'm after a pair of WRC door number boxes in that exact size?

Got them from a guy called Simon at Signature FX graphic solutions online.
If you email him asking what you want Im sure he will sort you out.

His Email is . . . sfxgraphicsolutions@googlemail.com

If you let him know Andy recomended him that would be apreciated.

Hes got an advert on ebay too. . . (hence where I found him origionally)

Benjikwrx. . . The car is running on Tein set up and yes I think Brembos do fit under the 18". . . .well they have never caught on them so far in the past 6 months. :-)

Front lip is from a mates garage who deals with alot of bumpers. . . . I had a pick through the biggest heap of bumpers and trims till I found one to suit.So I have no idea what its off.

Im not sure Phil739. I had a dam good go at getting hold of a lamp pod to sit pretty on the bonnet but someone else has got to it first :-(.
I would also like to know were you can find one of them camera roof pods too.
tiny. . . . Dont suppose you would like to share any info on where you got youre bonnet pod from would you? Like the idea of the two centre lights sitting a bit lower so it doesnt interupt airflow to the intercooler.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
