there is a big difference tbh . u couldnt throw it into corners and the arches rubbed and it felt light on the back end . now it feels more sturdy plus the ride is smoother .
But there is a difference in feel between 18 and 17. My old car would rub on its 18s (inovit ST IV) on standard suspension. My RA has speedline 18s and custom eibachs (apparently!) and it doesn't rub.
I also want to change to 17s. Was going to buy some this month but my cat was ill, cost £400+ and still passed away!
Why thankyou I was merely answering Wrighties question, but feel free to have a pop.
COB is right, you only have to drive a classic on 17's and 18's to feel the difference; 18's are imo at least, bleedin' o'rrible...can't comment on newage cars though
Anger will be along any time now to remind everyone that Prodrive offered the P1 with an 18" wheel option and undermine my argument
True but then Peugeot offered the 206 180 GTI thingy with 17s and most reviewers said they were too big for it and it should have 16s.
playing Devil's advocate Peugeot are probably happy just offering a style upgrade whereas Prodrive upgrades are (as a rule anyway), performance derived.

If the larger wheel has wider tyres.
I run 17's instead of the 18's my car came with purely because I mainly use it on track and tyres are cheaper. RE070s are only £100 per corner and R888's £125.
