New Flaps, Kaylan home made.
Well my old flaps were looking a bit tied of late, they had been on for nearly 3 years and were only £60 from Rallyflapz so not done to bad. I've always wanted some Kaylan flaps as they are that bit stiffer but was not prepaird to pay £150+ or the £££'s that Prodrive charge so though I'd have a go at sourcing some myself.
After a bit of a web trawl I found the company that make them for the WRC teams, they sell it by the sheet which is excellent value but enought to make about 40 flaps so a bit overkill, after a chat with one of the guys there he said they always have offcuts and got me 4 pieces out in the post for about £60 inv Vat and postage. They arrived the next day and are brilliant quality, I used my old plays as templates and hey presto, fitted yesterday and am very happy with the result.

Cheers guys, yes I'm really pleased with them and the quality of the Kaylan compared to PVC is worlds apart.
Wiley, Making the flaps is not too much of a problem, however I used the brackets from my old flaps to fit them, I think without a bracket they would be a bit floppy, as for the P's someone on here recomended a graphic guy and he made them up for me, if your interested let me know and I'll pm you his details.
Must admit I did think about buying a sheet and selling them on!

There was a group buy several years ago for DIY Kaylan flaps & brackets and I still have the drawing templates somewhere if anyone wants them.
Better still is that I also have a set of unused WR Blue Kaylan flaps and brackets from the GB that I never fitted.
£60 inc P & P top a good home.

I have a set made for my newage but am unsure if the blue I decided on will actually look any good.
Anyone have any pics of a white newage with blue flaps or anyone photo shop them for me?
