Anyone tell what year this classic sti engine is?
The only way I think might give it away is where the coil is located and what it looks like?
Also thinking the pipe to the air filter & MAF looks different to my v3/v4 sti.

i think this is a v5-v6 engine as it is post 97 but different to the 97-97 v3-v4 engine that i have

Its a V4 STi engine its the same as mine
the STi 5/6 has the coil pack module further to the right as you look at it

And im pretty sure the v5/6 had the idle control valve in the throttle body, the v3/4 one is bolted onto the manifold

As said above the v5&6 had the coil on the right of the inlet manifold as you look at it. Its a phase 1.5 manifold so i'd go for the v4sti

defo v3 or v4 as ivac on inlet and center coil pack
