Default what seats you got?????

my96 interior is getting a bit tired and am looking at the options........

1. retrim existing interior

2. replace existing with better condition (stick with v2 or go newer???)

3. aftermarket (would love brides but ££££'s)

4. anyone fitted seats from different car???

Recaro A8s

Last one I saw on ebay went for £108. I was tempted to buy it even though I haven't got anything to put it in

This is interesting. What's the cost of putting a set of Recaros - something for road use, no electrics into a Classic?
Can you get material to retrim the rears to match?

Recaro speed seats...

Circa £700.00 for the pair, brand new.

Seat rails though are £300 the pair..

Rears trimmed to match..

I think the material for the rear seats was about £300 ish IIRC..

That is a lovely job. Did you do the rear seat yourself?
How do they compare to the original seats?

I have these if you're interested in seats.

Very good condition, were in the car for around 30k miles.

Matching passenger/driver seat, and also have rears too.

Before you decide what you're going to get, if you're interested in bucket/harness set up I'd strongly suggest using a car with them in first to see what they are like. I have this in my car and drive to/from events but its very compromised, even changing the stereo settings (when I had one) was a PITA. Plus if you have any 'large' friends/family they probably won't fit in the bucket seats. A normal belt with a CG lock will suffice for most applications.

Cheers

Dill

Thanks Simon,

I got Recaro UK to trim the rear seat, although you can just get the material from them on its own.

The seats are head and shoulders above the OEM ones.

This may sound daft but how does rear legroom compare to the original set-up.
