Mine after mods and a clean
Thought I'd post up some piccys of my PPP Blobeye with the mods made since owning it not long ago when it was completley standard... (https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...w-blobeye.html)
See 'plus profile' for the mod details.
How it looks now...
Wheels and flaps were the first thing I did, these are 18" Rota GRA's with 225/45 Falken tyres. Made a custom mod for the centre caps - carefully prise the Rota badge off the cap and give it a good clean. I then just used cut vinyl for the Prodrive logo. You could also buy some Prodrive round logos (revolution do them I think) and stick them on. If you want to do something similar, dont buy 'plain' caps from Rota - or RareRims as their called (the UK distributor) - cos all they do is remove the logo for you and charge you £10 per cap! Ouch. Just do it yourself, much cheaper.
As for the flaps, their not genuine Prodrive cos they are £££, got a set of Scoobyworld ones and got the white vinyl decals separately - cough ebay cough.
Removed the WRX logo and applied Prodrive cut Vinyl.
Next it was the front end, got a pair of STI Aero wing corners from JapanParts, got them from there cos getting them through your local Subaru Stealers only come painted in some colours, one of which is not Red. Subaru UK dont stock all the colours of body parts, the JDM market and probably the US do! God knows how many times I checked and re-checked the alignment of the corners cos drilling holes in the side of your bumper gets the sweat running a bit! Lower Grille from Subaru and the lower splitter from Scoobyworld - well, HT Autos actually cos its stamped on the side!
Can highly recommend the Aero Wiper Blades, Sparco do them and so do Bosch (Halfords). My stock ones were very noisey and kept sticking, these glide nice and quietly. Much better. About 25 quid for the front set I think.
The most recent mod was the HKS SSQV BOV, mixed opinions of dump valves I know but I've never had one before and the HKS one does a nice distinct hiss and whistle type sound, different to other ones that just hiss. Probably get some dodgy looks now from grannies but hey Im happy with it.
As for buying the correct one for your car, just a quick heads up. Alot of sellers advertise this BOV for Impreza '02 onwards for WRX and STI. As you probably know the STI intercooler is larger so theres more room to play with when installing the BOV. A WRX intercooler only just - and I mean only just - has enough room above the intake manifold pipe to fit it. Mine infact is touching the intake and took alot of tightening of the bolts that holds it to the intercooler. You cant mount it facing any other way apart from the way mine is facing but you should get a tight seal. When I first offered it up to the intercooler opening I thought oh crap this wont fit. Now I dont know if there is a different version for the WRX and STI, Im guessing not cos I think the BOVs are all identical, its just the mounting flange which is needed for a Scooby. A Scooby specific kit comes with a small length of hose and a plug for the intake re-circ hose that comes off the stock BOV. A 'universal' kit just has the BOV and hose connections plus cable ties. I would advise getting the Scooby specific one to get all the parts needed, I didnt and got the 'cheaper' universal one and had to order an intake plug from Hong Kong. For now the loose re-circ pipe has a temperary bung.
Have also just found out some info about the HKS SSQV Dump Valve and the fitting to a WRX intercooler. The version I have is version 2, the first version of the HKS SSQV was a different shape and also smaller in size so there was more clearance around the body of the BOV allowing you to mount it facing different ways. Version 1 seems very hard to come by now but they can easily be identified - Version 1 has a Chrome / shiny finish body around the BOV whilst Version 2 is a matte grey colour and has fins at the back of the BOV. Not sure if there is any other differences between the two, presumably just a manufacturing upgrade, anyone confirm this?
How it looked on day one...
Would still like to mod its performance a little, eg, de-cat down pipe and a remap. Its got the PPP Pack and stock turbo so I cant really push the powergain much higher without having to change other parts like the turbo, the fuel pump etc etc, Will probably just max out the stock tolerance for now. Will soon be changing the induction system too when all the parts have arrived, have been drawing up a way of routing more ram air and using a cone filter or may stick with the panel filter. Not sure yet, more to come.
Need some opinions,
Should I get fog light covers?
Should I de-tango the lights?
Should I debadge the 'subaru' off the boot?
Any thing else?
Anyhow, any comments welcome, thanks for looking!

Anyone got any tips and tricks for this mod? Have read the guides on here somewhere, just dont want to leave them not air-tight and fog up.
Cheers for the comments guys and girls.

Cheers! I like the mudflaps on your Scooby N3! Are they genuine Subaru made? Never seen Rally style mudflaps from Subaru before, only the Prodrive ones.
Have just finished fitting a front Strut Brace from Scoobyparts, an STI replica one. Will post a piccy later!

The car looks quality maye, and if im not mistaken i saw it the other day at Goodwood. If it was you then mine was the grey 06 STI parked in the shed about 6 along from you. Are you local to Goodwood/Chi area?? Jim

Good spot! It was me at Goodwood. Have a friend that does track days often in his Focus RS, have been tempted to take the Scooby round the track but its mucho expensive for the day and insurance. I did see a few Scoobys that day and a trio of Skylines parked up too. Im in the Petersfield area.
