Default Simple Bugeye De-Tango

Changed the indicators and side flashes a few months ago, just got round to doing the headlights.

From this:

To this:

Doing the headlights was quite simple in the end. The most difficult bit was probably removing the plugs from the back of the headlights. Finding the 2 bottom clips in the grill took a few minutes too, but really it was easy.

Rather than bake them, I snipped the orange plastic away with some plier/pincer things - took about 5 mins a side. This has got to be easier and less risky than baking them.

I used the Philips Silvervision bulbs which seem pretty good, and fitted some 30% Osram H4 headlights bulbs while I had them out - haven't tested them yet.

What do you think? I was originally thinking about Morette's, which I'm not sure about now. I did also think about Prodrive or STi lights, but I think on a silver car the simple detango looks more suitable, not having any black in them.

Thinking of silver side skirts next, either spraying mine or buying ones from an STi. What do you think?

Get the crystal side reflectors...would match up better than the white ones.

Yeah, I had some aftermarket crystal indicators on before which were nice, but the matching flashes had the bulb holders which I didn't like. You are right though.

Any views on silver side skirts?
