What do you think of this? Available at AVO and not too expensive. Underneath lies an APEX'i Power Intake induction kit.

Keeps the hot air away!!!

RB5Scott,

I browsed through APS, but couldn't find something similar. Maybe you ment BPM? BPM has the same item (looks pretty much the same) but I remember once asking how much it is and it was overpriced.
This one is from AVO Turboworld (located in Japan and Australia). I bought it while being in Japan for about 36000 yen (185 GBP??) and even got 2 free tickets for the Tokyo Auto Salon with it!!!

Hey

Just how noisy is it?

(i.e. apparently just fitting an air induction kit / pos air filter creates quite a bit of extra noise)

To jnayler,

Well, considering that I have a JSpeed downpipe (similar to HKS) and a Blitz Nuer Spec R system fitted, the APEX'i induction kit is almost not noticeable. Just a "woooosh" starting to build up as pressure rises and a "Phsuuuh" from the BOV, and eventual pops and bangs.

Joseph :
I have the AVO address in Australia, you'll also find a link to AVO Japan there, although it seems that there's no such Airbox for the MY01 yet.

Oh, and I forgot those 2 long blue cooling liquid silicone hoses are supplied with the Carbon box, so that you can still close your bonnet without smashing the original ones!!

The APS kit is a trumpet that sits inside the inner wing with the induction filter on the end of it. Because the filter sits inside the inner wing its always sucking cold air so no need for a heat shield to keep hot air away.
