Couldn`t you have just put a mirrored wall up beside one of them and not bother with the second?

I was at the very place on Wednesday, and noticed the other one under a cover. It did cross my mind that they may have been yours. Get one out for a blast!

LOL. Read what's under my name. I've owned a 22b, not just any old import, but a true rare one, a uk version. I used it as a daily drive, as it was intended, not in a heated garage under plastic. And an EX P1 owner (from new), I don't really understand the 'ha ha' and a rasberry after what you posted, perhaps you can explain. I truely hope it's not some sort of misguided attempt on your behalf of snobbery.

Back to my point. How sad that such fine cars should be tucked away. BTW I'm of the same opinion on any car not just a humble and over-rated Impreza.

Don't really understand why people have an issue
As far as I was aware blu scoob ended up with two by accident and can't reg either just yet.
I'd say a couple of 22B's is a far more interesting way to invest some money than giving it to the bank.

It's storage like this that results in those rare gems that come up once in a blue moon on pistonheads.
The one's that then get posted in here to responses of

"wish I had £XXXXX, I'd snap this up!!"

has anyone ever tried looking for a mint MK1/2 escort, a mint RS500 or simiular sort of things, the only mint ones you find these days are ones that have been bubbled up for years, and your just so glad that people do these sorts of things when you see them years and years later, once they gone, thats it!

not planning on keeping them there long by the looks of it? I know of a storage place for cars near to me, for people that are of the same thinking , but they put them on stands, remove all fluids, remove the battery etc, im sure the bubbles are a lot thicker too and they had a whopping great fan front and rear with a dust collector. saying that, it was probably 4 times as expensive to keep them in that place.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but jealosy/envy is a horrible thing.

If blu scoob wants to do that to his two mint 22B's, who are we to say what is sad or not!!!

I have owned my 22B STi for the last 3 years and mine gets driven as much as possible in the summer months. But I won't drive it in winter (even though previous owners have).

No two poeple are alike and I know for a fact what driving a 22B in all conditions has done to it over (nearly) the last 10 years. At major expense, I have had to replace numerous items that have been damaged by 'daily' driving and driving in salt and adverse conditions and trust me it breaks my heart to see corrosion starting to appear due to the car not being undersealed/cared for in the past.

I am planning to get my 22B back in mint condition, but at what cost will be anyones guess...

Good on ya blu scoob, hopefully you might make an exception and bring one of them out for the 10 year 22B anniversary meet we are having this year???

I wish I had the funds to keep them like that.

Do you plan to keep them there for years?
Are you dropping the fluids and putting them on stands to keep weight off the suspension??
Why did you end up with two? Sorry I mush have mist that one.

Do you have a Scooby you use everyday??

Hello mate the second one was brought to my attention by Niel from the 22b site so I bid on it and thats it,I dont no what to do with them yet bad coments make you want to sell them it makes you feel like your doing something wrong, they get started up on a regular basis though,if I got a good enough bid maybe Id think of selling one but only because I really would like an RS1600 or 1800 but not to buy anythink elsesorry I dont drive one every day the wife drives a 300bhp forester fsti though but I want her back in an evo,Ive got a 200 quid rover sei so I can take the dog with me were ever I go,its called getting old and a bora highline tdi

Well I can only admire what this guy has done to protect his investment, what is wrong with that.

I own a WRX-RA and it is mint though not to the same standards as Blu Scoob's examples. However my car is not used in the winter, it is also not used in wet and bad weather, purely to protect it's condition.

If I had a garage opportunity I would do something very similar, so for now my car is safe and sound & covered. It keep's it in perfect condition & everytime its taken out of wrap's it looks like it's just been waxed....

He has my vote & why not......each to their own

Any pics of the other cars you have had, im sure there must be a few nice examples?

If i was lucky enough to own a 22b, then i would drive it, but only because i couldnt afford to have two kept in bubbles haha

Any you accuse Scoobynutta of giving owners a bad name because of a poor attitude?

Nice cars though

Is there that much point putting a 10 year old car in a bubble? It won't undo the use it's had over those years. I doubt they were in bubbles before you got them. I just don't get it

With that attitude I'd be tempted to say its actually people like you that give Subaru owners a bad name, but nice pair of cars anyway

Edit: sorry Moley, didn't see your earlier post saying exactly the same

It's quite difficult reading your replies due to your unique style of writing, but the gist as I see it is I'm supposed to be jealous and some sort of newbie who has had cars even your wife wouldn't drive. I'm not going to come down a level and swap insults with you,but I must say I've owned several Imprezas over the course of a decade. And to be pedantic, two of which cost a lot more than the two you have above, so I'm not jealous in the slightest. Moreover if your attitude is a reflection of Warrander's itself then I'm glad I've never had any dealings with them.

For the record the best car I've ever owned, and still do, is a 1991 Suzuki SJ413.
