Another mod to cross off
Today I fitted these Tein bonnet dampers.
They were simple to install, but as I found out, don't remove the two bolts that bolt together the hinge to the bonnet. Do one at a time
They work really well and look great even if they are an od colour of green...beggars can't be choosers.
As I have a steel bonnet, the dampers won't hold the bonnet at a 1/4 open like a Alu one would.
Thats another mod to cross off the never ending list
Next on the list is a bespoke slam panel.

The TEIN bonnet lifters are crap!!!
I have had mine for 6 months on my 22B and they have gone rusty on both the ball joints and the main struts!!!
It's a shame cos they looked nice new...

We use dampers on our lift-up ottoman beds. Cost price is £6.98, although they aren't green.

No holes to drill. You take out one bolt from the wing and the two bolts from the bonnet hinge and replace these with the hardware supplied with the kit.

Don't intend opening my bonnet that much, so will stick with what I've got.
Looks good though
