Currently trying to convince my girlfriend that we really need an RB5 on the drive, have any of you got any decent pics you could mail me at westdown.computing@virgin.net or post on here?

Please don't mail to my profile address as the firewall here traps attachments for vetting by the e-mail police!

Thanks for your help in my latest quest!

Many thanks to those of you who have replied and sent me pictures, much appreciated!

Davyboy, heres the quandry she faces:

29K on a 170bhp Panzerwagon convertible or 17.5K on a 240 odd bhp RB5 (hmmmmmm) and 11.5K to put towards the kitchen of her dreams (or new bathroom, or oak floors etc). She does love driving my car, I think she'll have much fun in an RB5.

I'm not trying to influence her decision (much) but it will go nicely with my car. Plus I get to mod 2 cars. No it's not for me what am I saying... Heh heh..

What would you do?

Matt, I'm sold! (wipes away slobber)

Get a scoob and a kitcheen and bathroom, but not too sure about an RB5, seems to cost such a lot compared to a standard UK one!

IMHO of course!

they are a lot but there are also only 444 of them in the world and they are widely acknowledged as one of the best (if not the best in some reviews) around...

Thanks Markus

Sean, some current pics of our car - with new improved Morettes (not to everyone's taste, but we fancied a changed and there's no way we're gonna sell her)

Markus,

We were in Dryhill Park in Sevenoaks - just turning her around and thought "ahhh, good photo opportunity"

Thanks Jimmy - we like it too

I've gone from saying "we shouldn't change it because it's a limited edition" to...new downpipe, new centre-section, Morettes, and now I also want us to get it lowered (much to Dom's delight).

As for insurance, believe it's in group 21.

Bryan - nutter, but I like you

Sean (soon to be a 2 scoob family hopefully)..

By the way insurance wise I have been told Group 18.

Good news,

After being treated like cretins by our local dealer (Northampton) I contacted the dealer my car came from (Swindon) and as luck would have it he had a shiney RB5 for sale which we bought last night! So another success story resulting in us being a 2 scoob family.

Very happy, many thanks again!

I think that should be arranged! we pick it up on Saturday.

I am never, ever going back to the Northampton dealer again, they were simply not interested in our business in the slightest. Grrrr

Imagine the noise the 3 cars will make.... Hmmmm
