Default Finally clay barred my Bugeye (thanks to Frayz!)

There I was in Halfords trying to decide what products to get for my 52 plate WRX which I've had since new. Thought I'd give me' old mate Frayz a ring for some advice...........

All Maguires products,

Rinsed, washed, clay barred, rinsed, washed, NXT waxed and buffed.

Came out rather well if you ask me

Forgive the quality, only used a 2meg camera phone.

Cheers Frayz, I'm amazed at how much cr4p came off the paint during the clay barring

first make sure that you've got all the loose dirt off the car so 2 bucket method wash with a sheepskin mit and a good rinse down. then dry the car with a micro fibre drying towel. sponges and chamois are pants and inflict swirling on your paint.

then make sure you use plenty of quick detailer to lube the clay. you'll hear it picking up contamination as you go if it's bad. work on small section at a time and keep going until the clay glides with ease over the paint and is silent. you'll see the contaminents in the clay when you turn it over. i generally keep mine in a bucket of luke warm water while i'm doing this process, use a grit guard in the bucket though for obvious reasons!

dry off with microfibre towel and then rinse and wash with 2 bucket method again. then you're ready to start polishing / waxing etc.

Looking good mate. Well worth the effort to clay the car, the difference is amazing.
