Default Trackday pics - but not the boring 4 wheeled variety!

Had my first trackday last Friday at a soaking wet Knockhill!

Its fair to say I have caught the bug big time and can't wait till try it again (dry!)

Not necessarily a riding style that Rossi would envy but I was seriously sh1tting myself about binning it

it is adictive isn't it

Get some trackday fairings and put them on just before, saves the expensive ones in the unfortunate case of a spill

To be honest, the only difference the rain made was instill an immense fear of the painted kerbs! even grazing them would pretty much guarantee a spill but other than that the grip was okay, all things considered.

LOL

The bike is definitely full size, but at 6'2" and 15 stone I'm perhaps a bit big....

Thing is, the litre bikes aren't much bigger than my 750, if at all and I don't like the hypersports bikes at all; Busa, ZX12, ZXR14, CBR1100 etc etc so what do I get?

You want to get your inside foot back on the peg when cornering or you'll be grinding your flipper with very little lean angle.
I'm 6'3 and on my K4 (just like your last bike) I'm constantly on the ***** of my feet as with the peg rested against the heel of my boots just isn't comfy.

Bike and leathers look fantastic btw. What Alpinestares 1 piece is it?

I know what you mean mate, and normally my heel is well back with the ball of my foot on the peg (check the top pic) although for most of the time I was probably pretty lazy and left my heel on the peg as when riding in conditions as wet as KH was that night, there was no way I'd get anywhere near enough lean to scape my toe slider so correct foot position wasn't quite as important as in the dry! lol

My leathers are Alpinestars RC-1 two piece. I think they compliment the bike quite nicely eh?
