I ran it with no plate for about 6 months until I got pulled, I showed him the plate(which had been in the car for 6 months) he had a quick measure of the letters and said it was ok...and then fined me 35 quid for not displaying it

Na no spoiler... never had one when I bought it but I fitted a low one then the ironing board style high level then I dicided to return it to standard. I like the high level spoiler but every man and his dog has one.

Cheers mate I have just bought some black ones from scoobyworld but I'm in two minds about fitting as it looks quite good without them, I agree The red were bad .
Speaking of the dog, I just got the car back from the paint shop after my mate kicked the dogs bone from the top step of his house and dented the door. Very soft panels it would seem.

On the subject of mudflaps..it seems there is only one colour that looks good on a red car and that is black..odd, red flaps look great on other coloured cars, like white evos etc, but not on red
Personally I think black does the trick for many a scoob, the trick is getting the right height and sticker combination.
and as for your mate kicking a dog bone and denting your panel
My advice is give your mate a good kicking and his dog and then lose his number from your phonebook

Yeah I have some black ones ready to fit, like you say the hight has to be correct. Red was a bad call.
To be far he got the door painted, he owns the local Landrover dealership so I just dropped it off and he delivered it back yesterday all shiny and new
