Anthracite/Dark Grey Wheels
#1
I have a "Cool Grey" sti V, currently with gold wheels. I am thinking of either, changing them for a 17" OZ wheel in anthracite - or painting them dark grey. The car is a 5 door, which has been debadged and had the larger spoiler removed to make it slightly more of a Q car. The next thing to change is the wheel colour to try and attract less attention. The only thing that spoils the illusion slightly is the full Scoobysport exhaust, but that is definately staying.
Does anyone have a picture of a cool grey car with anthracite wheels? Alternatively just a picture of the grey wheels would be a help.
Many thanks

Be very careful, I bought 18" Anthracite Speedlines for my silver MY01- put them on and got that sinking "what have I done" feeling, I tried to live with them but they just didn't look right so they are now silver. Anthracite always looks dirty and doesn't seem to look as good as you would expect.(Cool grey may look good though!) RB5'S certainly look the part.

Personally I really like anthracite wheels. I had anthracite 17" Raceline RL7s on my old car (dark blue MY00). I've now got 18" anthracite OZ alloys on my new car (blue/black MY01). Pictures here : http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=56346
I would be careful fitting anthracite wheels to a grey car - it might be a bit over powering. I have always found that far from always looking dirty, anthracite wheels tend to show the dirt / brake dust less than silver wheels. End of the day it is personal choice.
Cheers

There's a fairly straight-on pic of my 17" anthracite superleggeras a couple of threads down (subject My 335mm Godspeed brakes) that may help if you're good with photoshop.
