Default 93 WRX - MODIFIED!

Hello everyone…I’m new (today) to Scooby net so thought id start by adding pics of my Scooby…(before I pick everyone’s brains with problems!)…Basically it’s got:

EVO gold alloys
Full carbon Bonnet with big carbon vent
HKS turbo timer
white dial kit
Dump valve - competition bailey valve
Quad headlights
Full jap imported Kit
High level Spoiler with brake light
Lowered and upgraded shocks and springs
Full STI exhaust system (de cat PPP center section)
Colour coded indicators
Sony install head unit and 6 disk multi changer
Carbon mom gear **** and leather gaiter
Type R Boost gauge - dash mounted
Silver interior dash highlights
uprated ecu
just bought afterburner lights (they dont work see other thread!!)

To be honest I wanted an EVO but I got offered this so snapped it up!

How much of a mission is changing plugs, I bought iridium ones but cant fit them !

Hi and welcome to S/N.
A few good things, your car has had a sh1tload of money spent on it, hope you like it.
The plugs are awkward to do but not impossible for DIY, the right length plug key is a huge benefit.

Now the bad news, sorry to say but its not cheap insurance, if you dont insure it properly you are not insured, better to pay the right money for something than cheaper payment for something that might not pay out if you have an accident.
I know you wont like it but it's for your own good (oh my god I sound like my Dad.)

I can only say, with the exception in your choice of tyre colours that nothing at all on that vehicle is to my taste.

Furthermore in light of recent threads I can only assume that this is a wind up

If it says that on the V5, yet is a 2.0 turbo, you have a rare car. Otherwise you're not insured!

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I think this is just down to personal taste

PERSONALY, however its not for me

i would expect some 17 year old spoilt brat kid who has the car on his dads buisness insurance, to be the driver/owner.......

hanging around some school gate waiting for his mates to finish school....

rip all that **** off and get it back to the original classic scooby look and stop being silly

All opinions in this post are nothing to to with be BLAME STELLA!

just a little pointer

when i first insured my car same as yours ..
they to said my car was a 1.8gl i thought woo ace but wait a minute if i have a crash it will be void so i rang em back and told em it carnt be a 1.8gl its got a turbo and stuff ... so they insured it right

one and a half years down the line .. somebody ran into me at the lights not my fault 3 cars involved no problem im insured and it wasnt my fault ..

insurer says my policy is void as i have a dump valve ..

GET IT CHANGED YOU WILL REGRET IT

i think you have to be eithor very nieve or just plain to show off a new car especially displaying registration and coming out with a comment like "and its a 1.8GL" on a very public forum, sorry sonny you have a lot to learn, do you realise plod also drive scoobys and will be viewing the thread let alone the insurance co.s, best of luck to you i would at least make it less obvious as you is asking to be pulled driving that car!

Nice attitude if you're going to break the law and be technically uninsured.....

I hope you enjoy the car though

I haven't mentioned anything about taste........

after burner lights now sorted and fitted....dont care what anyone thinks about these lights....i think they look great! .... i dare say alot of people prefer sti lights if changing them at all,but why pretend to have an sti if i havent !?

as i know it upset a number of you good people (and i didnt want to get stung) im now insured TPFT for a wrx through adrian flux (cheaper than my last quote!) , an yes befor anyone else gets a bee in the bonnet the mods are declared!

so im considerably poorer, but will probly sleep a little better!

next the carbon bonnet is going to be sprayed (leaving just the middle carbon) to match the rest of the car!

graphics stay or go!?

There's a story about a bunch of rare Imprezas that got registered as 1.8GLs BUT the fact is a lot of WRX's got registered as 1.8GLs, in fact my old 93 WRX was registered as a 1.8GL and it wasn't in the slightest bit rare.
