Very cool photos, id like to know how the photographer was hanging onto the sides and roofs of the cars.

I nearly bought a camera mount at the weekend from Donnington, but was suprised at the price of a substantial fitting. Can you recomend and makes or places to buy?

It depends on what you want it for...
outside the car you will need a decent one so you dont lose your camera - remember you'll need a remote trigger too.
Inside the car and you could get away with a £7.99 one from Maplins (suitable for light digi cameras).
I'm going to try the one from Maplins as mine doesnt have a remote trigger, therefore wont be able to take shots from the outside anyway.

as for the remote trigger, it depends how brave you are and where you mount the camera.

Thanks for the comments guys much appreciated.
Yep, camera mounted via a suction mount with a Nikon D70 and Sigma 10-20mm lens mounted on top. Don't use a remote trigger, although theres no reason not too, just prefer it without.

Fantastic pics especially the ones taken overlooking the bonnets, as they make you look down the road ahead. The shot might of looked better if you had a challanging road ahead, like Hard knot pass in the Lakes.
