Thanks for the comments guys, not that tricky to do.
Mount DSLR to suction mount, then attach this too the bonnet.
Use ultra wide angle 10mm lens to get as much of the car in as poss.
Set the self timer and meter to give a 1 second exposure @ F5.6.
Jump in car and drive (fairly slowly).
Simple

...and have ***** of steel (or lots of money/insurance) to mount your DSLR on the bonnet of your car
