UkDave what did you use to achieve a lovely drop like that
Ive got a my00 classic and was thinking of lowering it and i would love it to look as low as that, but do you get any rubbing on the wheel arches especially when going round corners
if not i'd love to know what you did to achieve such a cool look and how much it cost

Hi mate money were tight at the time as i wanted coilovers but had just bought the wheels, suspension is a koni sport kit -40mm springs with 4 top adjustable(for rebound)inserts. pain in the **** to piece together as it involves using the old strut bodies once emptied out drilling the base and bolting the inserts in-will get coilovers eventually, theres not much suspension travel to be fair though i like my cars pretty hard riding-dont get me wrong it aint harsh but harder riding than most would like their scooby on here-just lowering springs alone though without the shocks would have meant tyres would have caught the front arches,as is they dont catch anywhere-wheels are 7.5 x18 with 215/35x18 tyres.Koni kit were 500 quid they werent any cheap coilover kits around at the time.On the rear ive trimmed off and re-sealed/painted about 5mm off of the rear arches because they did catch, obviously leaving off the arch protector rubber.

scoobyslammed, I see those pictures very often and just want to say that love them, the car was really nice. with that drop do you had any rubbing on the front wheels when cornering? the front coilovers had any dampening adjustment or just height?

Yes the coilovers were height/ dampening adjustable...It never used to catch on the arches... even when it was fully loaded ( 4 passengers )

As StickyMicky said though... the ride ain't great when you go Low... he did tell me before I did it... but I still didn't listen... lol...
