Smile Got myself some ST2 speedlines

..and i have to say... love them! Have been struggling to decide whether to gor anthracite or not with the cool grey, but I think i'm gonna keep them silver for a while. Not sure if anthracite would look too dark.

Heres how she looked when i got her....

And now...

New speedlines, tints removed, wrx and 'other' stickers removed, FMIC painted matt black, orange wedges painted matt black.

looks reaslly nice,

Glad you ditched the crappy tattoo stickers around the bumper/lights. I'd of kept the rear tints myself but each to their own.

I'd also be looking at either a smaller number plate or moving it to the side to increase airflow to the intercooler.

i went though the whole plate dilemma lol. I hated the original position in the top pic. just looked cack. Then went for a square plate off to the left (evo esque). It was legal, but i eventually went off the look. The only thing i could go for would be a smaller one, but i want it 100% legal, and to be honest i've been loking at the difference in temperatures and knocklink activity.... and i can't really see any! I can just unscrew it if i ever go to a track day or anything

I know alot of people like the tints on the imports, but i'm not one of them. As subtle and rallyesque as it can be for a scubby is what i want

Looks great - had ST2s on my old WRX

I think you were right to lose the tints, and your pics have convinced me to get some STi rears, been umming and ahhing about it!! Can't you convert the rears though and ditch the fog light under the bumper?

Hey snap

I really like the original gold wheels to be honest - but keep thinking about Gold Superleggeras or Gold PWRC1. Didn't think silver would go with our colour cars - but you've proved me wrong. Now I don't know what to do

PS - What are the squiggles on the front of the car in your first picture?

I love gold wheels on a Scooby... but i never really felt it 'worked' with the cool grey . Was convined i was gonna get Antracite ST2's or Superleggaras, but after seeing pictures.... i reckoned it maybe just made the overall car look a tad too dark. I hadn't really seen anyone with straight silver, but I'm glad i went that way. Some people say they prefare the gold... some say anthracite would be better... but I erally do like the silver on her, and i have to live with it!! lol . Go with what ye want yerself mate!

The 'Squiggles' where someones idea of 'styling' believe it or not . I had them swiftly removed.....

Did you put the UK wing on the back? I think i prefare the more subtle look of it!

I had to go for the Evo style because mine is a UK car, but because yours is an import you can have a smaller import plate

The UK wing was put on by the previous owner actually. I prefer it to the big ones, so thought it was a good omen when I was looking for an STi 6.

I found this place that is doing the best deal on Superleggeras that I can find. Just want to make sure they come with 215/40s rather than 205/45s Toyos

Think I'm going to get them.

I think they could argue that rule for Impreza's given that there is actually room for a large number plate (as an imported front end if the same as for a UK car).

However, I now have a smaller plate on mine anyway. I think it looks better and its not like you can't read it as the font is still correct. Put it this way - I'm sure speed cameras will still recognise me - and surely thats the main criteria for a number plate these days.

You know it makes sense! . I reckon they'll look top notch. afaik the Superleggara Gold is quite a 'bright Gold' if you know what i mean. Should look well

Your plate size looks good. Did you get it done somewhere local to you? I think ultimately I'm sticking fully legal, just in case. I read that before about the imports, but to my mind an impreza doesn't qualify as we have the capacity for a std size plate

Thanks for that link, mine arrived this morning!!

Well chuffed. Went for 3/4 on the front, standard font but Subaru1 border, and my web address on the bottom.

£32 all in - good price I thought
