Default Defi's Installed - Ta Wuz!

Hey everyone,
I am now the proud owner of a full set of Defi BF gauges. Wuz supplied and fitted them for me and has done a top job - even spraying the interior of the pod silver to match the dash trim. The controller is hidden in the Forester cubby under the stereo - so that it is out of sight when it is closed. Well this post is totally useless without pictures so I'll shut up now..........

And a wee taster of the startup and shutdown sequences................

I hope you agree Wuz did a top job and I am well chuffed.........apart from the fact he had run out of BHP Developments stickers (totally gutted)!

Now to get the other bits and pieces to go with the downpipe..................the Mrs is going to kill me [:P]

How are they when the sun is out? I have a triple pod fitted with smoked gauges and they are a bitch in the sun. They reflect and you can't really see them.

Don't know if I should try defi's or just go for white or unsmoked.

Hey calm down dude............... ,

the price that you did for me was very good for Defi's - and it was very much appreciated - however in the grand scheme of things defi's are still an expensive mod.

They do however look fantastic............

Do you want to answer the guys questions about price as I don't know if the price you did for me is the norm?

No mate they are fine in the sunshine as the newage pod has enough of an over hang to keep them in shade. But you can adjust the brightness for both day and night independently.

My pod has overhang too, its the reflection from the glass that I have a problem with. In your pics you can see the windows reflected in the gauges. That is what mine does but on a very sunny day I can hardly see the needles, the numbers are ok though. Just wondered if the real thing was the same as my copies!

loving defi's and loving your install there.
I couldnt justify the cost, so went with centre console and autogauges, which do the job just perfect.
If i had the cash, i would have done the defi' so will have to be happy with just looking at yours

Very nice mate. Hopefully will get mine fitted this weekend.

Question, what happens to the alarm LED? is there a hole in the pod for this or do you just have to lose it under the pod?

Cheers

Dave,

Out of interest what's your peak boost showning? I've just changed to a version 8 and it's showing 1.5 Bar peak.

Cheers
