Thumbs up Knocklink Semi-Installed Plus Winter Wheels....

Well firslty I've been threatening to get may old wheels on for a while now as I don't want any salt damage on 18's or find a curb if we have snow or ice as a 35 wall offers no protection what so ever

This was before...

And after.... quite a visual difference

Here is stage one of the knocklink install, it's just sitting in loose at the moment that's why it is not quite level... when I get it connected and set up I'll be putting some black foam around it and taping it in from behind.

I had considered extending the LED's and drilling the dash but decided against that, luckly I found a vent that had been converted to drop this into for a couple of ££ so at least in the future it's an easy removal and can be put back to original without an problems at all.

Thanks Talizman and your spot on by the way

Scoobymania that's the pod scroll all the way down to the bottom, fantastic fit on the dash held on with some number plate double sided tape all I needed was a little trimming with a dremmel for the 52mm gauge to drop in.

Had the gauge from Jap-innovations it's the Blitz R115 and has a white face and green back light, it matches perfectly

I just accepted the Knocklinks bloody ugly Ray and just decided to make a feature of it if that's at all possible.

Kev I had to do it matey and since the cold wind was not blowing and snow is about bad back or not the wheels needed to go on

Sammy what's wrong with my winter wheels you forget how basic the originals look don't you

Yes the 18's make you have either gaurds or flaps with the extra muck they throw up the sides it's an eye opener

Hang on was forgetting the fog covers as well....

Car is rotten at the moment

Last question.

Where is the fog lamp cover from as they are really expensive for the screw fix covers?

Hi Ray, I did have some pictures of the covers when I first had them but I've deleted them by they look of it they are second hand and were in Cashmere Yellow when I had them.... they are fibre glass copies I think I picked them up for £30 or so.
As for fixing them there are no bracket fixings behind them they simply screw into the plastic under the foglamp, I still cannot find any of the proper allen key headed screws so they have a couple of 1. 1/2" standard screws holding them, what I had not realised is there is already 2 small slotted holes in each fog surround as standard and the cover slots in them and the screw just holds them safe. When I'm in a DIY store next I'll have to look for a couple of the plastic covers that you can drop onto the srcew heads that should finish them off nicely as long as I can get black that is.

Well marc I've not got major mods planned but I'm looking to decat the downpipe shortly that will make the car fully decatted then and I may look at either doing a TEK3 in the future or I may look into picking up a TEK2 ecu as a more cost effective alternative.
I dropped on this second hand at a very good price and decided that as a piece of mind mod it was worth doing... belt and braces approach I suppose

Hey Messiah

Yes I'm running on H&R Springs from http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/
standard struts still.... they are advertised as a 50mm drop it reality they have dropped about 25-30mm against the turbo springs
They are a comfortable ride as well

I picked the covers up second hand... I'll keep my eyes open for a set for you
