They look so ******* menacing in black
and those pics are excellent, very moody
If I ever get my WRX sold and my business up & running then I look forward to the difficult decision of an Evo X in red or black

Which would you choose

I for one am totally disgusted that you have posted those pics.
You just don't realise the damage you may have caused!
Hundreds of Subaru owners throughout the land will be topping themselves this evening, and chances are their notes are gonna read something like 'How can we compete with that? The end has come (Well, it's been coming since the evo 1, but we just didn't realise)'
Top motor, but then I KNEW that already

Thanks for your kind remarks guys
P20SPD Re: Elvington - Doubt i will bother t.b.h. as this car is only putting out slightly more power then the old one, yet weighs 50kg more, though you never know, i think i can get another 20bhp or so out of her yet - currently running at 315bhp ATW - circa 408bhp (or 418bhp going by WRCTechs calculations)ATF.
I bought the car mainly for fast track work - namely the Nurburgring as i simply cannot get enough of the place.
Adam - it started out as an Evo9 GT - i.e. LSD rear diff, electronic centre diff, 5speed. The U.K. evo9's are all GSR (half leather, smaller turbo, AYC rear diff) so avoid those.
I fitted a AP Racing paddle clutch, brand new 6 speed box, HKS blueprinted engine(doing away with the valve timing though unfortunately), GEMs ECU, Turbo Dynamics Ball Bearing Turbo from my old evo6, ummm... AP six pots to slow the damd thing down and a couple of other bits and bats. Currently get 31mpg on the motorway - and that was only on the base map before tweaking lol!
A base GT can be bought for £23k imported - HID headlamps are +£500, Bilstein struts +£800 both of which i have fitted. The amazing thing is you can get 400bhp out of the standard evo9 engine with exhaust, filter and EcuTeK, though its advised you changed the OEM magnesium turbo compressor wheel as they have been failing, cost for that is £195+VAT.
