Can a German Join In?
Sorry another non scoob post, but I'm an X scooby owner so please be gentle
Sold my '02 STi earlier in the year to make way for a E46 M3, that lasted a few months and was sold for a M3 CSL, awesome car, awesome noise. However was a little too track focused. I spend most of my time crossing Europe so needed some luxury back.
Took out a 996 TT and was AMAZING, I'm not in a posistion to afford a 996 Ruf R Turbo so the Porsche Turbo it was.
I do still miss my STi though pound for pound I think it's the best car I've ever owned.
Anyway, here's some pics of the TT. Only had it 4 weeks, and had done 3,500 miles!!
Before I bought the turbo I had a deposit down on a GT3, it's the car my heart wanted, but after already deciding the CSL was too track based and that I spend 95% off my time on road decided to go for the turbo.
I think a company called DMS can do a basic remap to well over 500bhp. Might be good for when I pay off my overdraft after buying it!!
Only thing that lets the car down is the noise, unless you are really going for it than it's more like a hair dryer. However I'm told this is fixed by a TUBI exhaust system

Nein, Nein. No Germans!!!
Absolutely beautiful car Steve, I'm very jealous!
Will you be bringing it to any Kent meets to show off?
How does it compare -performance-wise to your old Scooby?
All the best,
Paul.

It's not as 'aggresive' as the STi, you still get a kick in the back but it's more subtle. It's not till you look down at the speedo you see your doing silly speeds!
In Germany my STi strugled slightly past 125mph (maybe due to aerodynamics) + the 911 just keeps pulling past this all the way upto 190mph+ and it's very stable. The 911 also has a 4wd system that feeds power to the front if traction is lost.
Not that those speeds are any use on UK roads though!

Indeed, it's not the best idea financially to change cars so often
Think i'll be keeping this a while till my bank account comes out of hibernation

If you'd have gone out at the right time, you'd have real proof you did a lap!
Good Job Clare was with me, else it'd be pretty much hard work explaining who the blonde was in my car!
tip
Don't have an affair and go to the ring, to many people taking pics!
