Default The SCOOBYCLINIC experience

Back in July this year we went on holiday to the lakes and Northumberland and whilst we where up in the lakes, my dad had a little accident at *** Ness Bridge car park, where he reversed into a tree He phones the insurance company whilst on hols to tell them about it. The insurance company said, 'this was your fault' my dad says Yes etc... When we got back home, my dad re phones the insurance company saying we are back and what is the nearest body shop that could take out the repair, they told him about a company in Hemel. My dad goes and makes an appointment to see them two days later (on the Saturday as we arrived home on the wed eve). My dad did not like the guys attitude etc... and was put off. When my dad got back after seeing them he told me what was said etc... And I said what about going to Scoobyclinic. I showed my dad their website www.scoobyclinic.com . Then that evening my dad asked me to put a post on here for comments of customers that have been to the clinic. And all the comments were GOOD comments. So my dad phoned them and i believe he spoke to Adam and discussed the problem and my dad did not realise that he has the choice of where his car goes etc... This made my dad think. My dad then phone the insurance co. (Frizzells) to say that he has found a company that specialises in Imprezas. They said that was fine.

My dad then made a phone call to the clinic and asked can i come up and you give me an estimate. Yes that was fine. We all went up and they gave us a estimate, had a grand tour lead by Adam we left there after about an hour. My dad asked them to fax off the estimate to the insurance co.

We came home and my dad phoned the insurance co. mid week to see if they had it, they said no. my dad re phones up the clinic and asked them to re send it. The insurance co finally get it and then they start work on the estimate from the clinic and the one from the place in Hemel. This took 2 weeks As my dad did not hear anything he phoned them up and they said they had to get an assessor out to look at the damage. Nothing happens. My dad re phones the insurance co and the lady say, yep that fine you can take it to the clinic to have the work done. At last!

MY dad goes up August bank holiday Friday to take his sorry looking Scooby to the clinic, some 130+ miles

Pics of a sorry looking scooby

My dad gets given this Ford Mondeo 2.0 16v Auto

my dad hated every minute driving it...he HATES AUTOMATICS...PERIOD!

Three weeks go by and the car is ready...yay!

We go up this morning leaving at 8:20 and get to the clinic at 11 am ish after a coffe stop in the motoryservices at jct 23a M1.

Adam went to get the car nad he said they called it a nickname 'Mig-29' as my dad has got a Mig-29 keyring. Nice i thought

We see the car and it looks immaculate. What a fantastic job the boys at the clinic have done. Top marks guys. My dad says it was totally worth the 260ish miles round trip and driving a auto mondeo for 3 weeks

Now i supose you want to see the finished resullts...ok then...

It looks a lot better now don't it.

Plus adam threw in some blue www.scoobyclinic.com stickers for the rear passenger windows and he even put them on for my dad

My dad is well pleased
Thanks guys at the clinic.

Darren
oh, btw, when i eventually get a Scoob, im coming to you for anything i want doing to it.

I got my scoob repaired there.

Adam faxed the quote to Liverpool Victoria on numerous occasions. By the sounds of it poor Adam must waste a lot of time having to re-fax quotes to insurance companies.

My car had the rear drivers side door damaged. I was well pleased when I saw it repaired. They even went beyond repairing that and sorted a scuff on the back bumper corner.

They really take pride in their work and it is really pleasing to see that in this day and age.

Adam,

Looked at my car lots of times since getting back home on Saturday and the finish looks even better than it did at Wingerworth. Seems a great job well done. Thanks again!

Have to do something about the exhaust and spoiler when I get some money.

That mondeo is 'interesting' isn't it?
I had it for a couple of weeks in the past..
Could have sworn the left leg and arm muscles started to atrophy after driving it for a while (being an auto!)

Hi,

We just had a similar prang in a car park, and the damage in bumper is nearly identical ... was going to give scooby clinic a call.. could you PM if possible what the cost was and what they neeeded to do... was it a whole new bumper... i think i would need to remortgage if i whent to dealer for a quote.. I dont want to do this through the insurance ... so will have to stump up the cash myself.

Thanks
