Talking Some of mine right up to date

Hi Team..... I thought it was about time I put some up to date pictures together as it seems to have been work in progress since buying the car in January this year.... even though I have posted quite a few so far I have always been in the middle of changing something on it.

Let me know what you think so far

Mods So Far
-----------------------
Clear Indys, Side Lights and Repeaters.
Sti 6 Front Lip
Sti 5 Rear Spoiler
Sti Rear Lights
Sti Back Box
Magnex Centre Section
H&R -50mm Lowering Springs
Powerstation Bump Steer mod and Geomitry set up.
Solid Rear Drop Links
Colour Coding
Boost Gauge
17" New Age Alloys
----------------------

I've painted the rusty calipers and also de-badged the car......

Next job will be tints including a tinted sunvisor also fitted on the inside.

The cars come on a long way since I picked it up

Cheers
Simon

Thanks Si I prefer it without the badges it gives it a much cleaner look....
The wheels are planned not sure when as yet though or what ones to get the list is endless, I'm going for 18" but I'll need 215 x 35 I think in order to stop any rear arch rubbing or I'll have to get them rolled which I don't really want to do.
I also need a weekend job to pay for the wheels

Thanks Gents

Dude the ride is great.... they are a progressive wound spring so you still have the comfort levels.... they dropped the car 20-25mm all around, I was a little nervous putting on a spring that advertises a -50mm drop but it has worked out better than I imagined.

Cheers Jim.... you need to get yourself some Swissol matey
You will laugh now as I bought a pot of that blue coloured Turtle wax polish the other day I thought I'd mask some of the smaller marks..that was until I put it on the car, the Swissol has got that much wax in it the blue stuff beaded up like water dropplets and ran off the car

Great comment Tony

Looks top, does need some nice alloys to finish it off. But a real transformation from when you picked her up.

Some 22b bonnet vents would look good

How has the bumpsteer and geometry set up changed the car over standard?

Thanks Peachy... I think the small decals are down to more personal taste than anything, that's why I kept the 2 small and on the mirrors. When they start to look a little tatty they will soon come off ok.

Marc.... It's made quite a difference the car is much more positive on the road and while turning into a corner under speed it is quite suprising how controlled it feels. Also you notice under braking especially on a bumpy road that you drive a straight line unlike the slight wandering that I used to get from the contours of the road drawing me over.
Another noticable benefit is even tyre wear, no inner edge wear on mine at all... these wheels came off my Sport and have covered around 16k altogether and they have worn evenly.... it's always a plus to get the full wear out of your tyres.
Pound for Pound I still think it is one of the best mods about

sss, that looks the dog bollo(c)ks
I love the ALL the stickers esp. the one on the scoop.
I agree with 16vmarc with getting some 22b bonnet vents, would make the car meaner.
Also i think that paint the badge on the front blue (same as car) and leave the stars silver, otherwise it all looks to silverery.

Cheers guys.... 22B vents now thats an idea and I had not thought about colour coding the badge to the car.... I'm not sure if I can mod it again I may need to find another one to work on as this one had a DIY job done on it a few months back but it has faded to nearly silver in the sunshine already

Here you go Darren this should explian it all clearly

"The pig is a mascot for the Japanese manga (comic) magazine Young Magazine. It's always somewhere on the cover, an example of which can be found here: Clicky (Warning: This will always have a bikini-clad teenie-bopper on the cover. It's your call if it's appropriate for work!)

The pig appears on Petter Solberg's rally car. For the past two years the pig has only been on the driver's side mirror. Back in 2002 it showed up on the co-driver's side as well, but that seems to have been dropped now. It ONLY appears on Petter's car -- Mikko's car doesn't have it, and Tommi's (when he was with Subaru) did not either. Toshihiro Arai (in the Production championship) has the pig on both of his side mirrors, as well as a little piggie on his driving suit. I suspect that it's a personal sponsor, rather than sponsoring the entire Subaru World Rally Team or STi."
