Oh, I do like the ols RSs.

I had one of these for 9 years

and one of these for 11 years until I bought my first Scoob in 1999

When I bought the RS2000 I decided not to buy a new RS1800 as I was a little nervous about what it would cost if the head went wrong . At that time Ford had a few kicking around at discounted prices which meant they were around the same price as my six-month-old RS2000.

That Escort cosworth (blue) is lovely!!
Detailing is fantastic!
The interior spoils it for me though.Perhaps if they'd have done it in blue/black to match the car.....

Has to be one of the most mint engine bays i have ever seen!
Just shows that a bit of elbow grease and once a week touch up under the bonnet can make the world of difference!
Stunning...

I love fords!!! Old ones anyway.

I try to get to the show as often as poss and maybe some of the regional shows.

Having grown up with the Professionals I had to get an RS2000......Ive had 2 now and loved them both, Java Green and Midnight Blue. Also had Series 1 and 2 Escort Turbo plus a 2WD Sapph......

Tis true Ford havent made a real good car for years and wouldnt really class an Escort cosworth as one of the good ones.

I will be on the look out for a good 3 door Sierra soon

i agree about the escort cosworths the other rs`s had a sort of class about them whereas the escort cosworth just didnt seem right somehow cant put my finger on it other than the styling just didnt look right almost thrown together (imo) sierra 3dr cosworths look like a supercar escort cosworths look like a mk 5 escort with a cheap bodykit it just didnt flow how it shd lol, im sure some people know what i mean just too much in yer face almost made it look cheap and nasty .a mate of mine had a 3dr for years then sold it to get a escort cosworth......which he had about 3months and sold it just didnt have the appeal the sierra had once he owned it even though he`d wanted one since before he could drive. these were his cars
