Oh, I do like the ols RSs.
I had one of these for 9 years
and one of these for 11 years until I bought my first Scoob in 1999
When I bought the RS2000 I decided not to buy a new RS1800 as I was a little nervous about what it would cost if the head went wrong . At that time Ford had a few kicking around at discounted prices which meant they were around the same price as my six-month-old RS2000.

Has to be one of the most mint engine bays i have ever seen!
Just shows that a bit of elbow grease and once a week touch up under the bonnet can make the world of difference!
Stunning...

I love fords!!! Old ones anyway.
I try to get to the show as often as poss and maybe some of the regional shows.
Having grown up with the Professionals I had to get an RS2000......Ive had 2 now and loved them both, Java Green and Midnight Blue. Also had Series 1 and 2 Escort Turbo plus a 2WD Sapph......
Tis true Ford havent made a real good car for years and wouldnt really class an Escort cosworth as one of the good ones.
I will be on the look out for a good 3 door Sierra soon
