My new motor - (not a scooby!!)
After almost 6 years of scooby ownership with much sadness my beloved MY01 WRX was sold last week a few pictures of the old girl are on this thread.
It is however soon to be replaced with THIS
Even though I'm scoobless I'll still be lurking on here as I've made quite a few good friends and I'll need my daily scoobynet fix
Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the comments
Listy, I paid £18,500.00 which is more than I wanted to spend but when I added up the bits on the car it seemed like a good deal. Its a uk car on a 98 plate, (most imports are 95 and 96) AP 6 Pots, R34 wheels (these go for £1500 secondhand ), brand new engine rebuilt by Abbey and still being run in, HKS Turbos, usual stage 1 mods to about 400BHP. Plus it was a uk car with FSH from Abbey and private plate included. There was one receipt alone from Abbey for £10,000.00 for the brakes, turbo's etc so the previous owners have spent some big bucks on it. Oh, nearly forgot, it's got Xenon lights as well which are
You can pick up an import with decent mods for about £16,000.00 at the moment, maybe cheaper if the seller is in a hurry to sell.
Definately the way to got

I doubt it will stay at 400BHP for long
Good thing is, it's already got the turbos which can cope with another 50-80BHP easy so hopefully just a case of adding an Power FC and a few sundry items to make it wild. Will have a few months to get used to the 400BHP first

Sorry, no more photo's yet. It's going to Abbey on Monday (hopefully), then the wheels are being refurbed (part of original deal) then I pick the old girl up. Touch wood, Friday week.
Will take some more pictures as soon as I take delivery
Trying to order some BF defis and a hud already - talk about climb out of one money pit and fall into an even bigger one
Oi Ray, saying my car isn't isn't

looks promising, always fancied a skyline, be interesting to hear a comparison between the scoob and the skyline handling wise - interested in the size and weight differentials.

They weigh a fair bit more than a scoob but hopefully the extra power will compensate for that
Handling wise, I'm told that they act almost like a rear wheel drive car which scares the crap out of me as I consider myself to be quite a novice driver - will certainly be taking it easy round the bends, then nailing it when I'm in a straight line
