As much as I hate the morettes, that's a good purpose for them. Did you notice much of a difference with the cold air feed?

It's difficult for me to judge whether this made a performance difference, as at the same time I fitted an Apexi ECU and had it mapped. It was a lot faster, but I think that is mainly down to the ECU.

What I would estimate is that it appears to take in 99% cold (i.e. 'outside') air, as opposed to before where it used to take a small amount from the engine bay area.

Definitely worth it IMHO.

I like the Morettes, which is odd because I hate pretty much every other light cluster mod on Scoobies (lexus etc), although some STi rear lights would be nice. They came on the car and are not something I would have personally purchased but I like them, even more so now.

Cheers

I quite like the other way people do direct air intake thingy... a chrome pipe is visible on the outside and it looks like a machine gun will come out of the hole - I can't explain it right can I LOL. I think they use the foglight area for that mod though so no good if you want to keep your fogs

When I fitted the PowerFC and cold air feed?

No - but I've had a Walbro 255l/h pump fitted for a few months anyway.

been thinking of using a cold air feed from the foglight cover (as per soulgirls description), prior to TEK3 but don't ant the think to run too lean...

If it does run leaner (can't really see that it would), the remap (assuming that the TEK3 is a custom map?) will cater for that - so your AFRs will be spot on after it's been mapped.

Ive just done it though the foglight, it allows you to use a larger bore pipe too which is good. Im not sure what size Jamie used but the stuff i used was 100mm.

Because this is all done before the maf sensor the map will adjust itself to cater for more airflow...but i agree a full remap may be useful although i dont think theres any damage to be done....my KL certainly doesnt suggest that.
