Yeah, I'm not very skilled with taking photos so I just chop the garbage out of them.

Here's the original:

I would say it's still a bit of a "cult" car here but we are a close-knit community.

Excellent pics, I'm sure you'll agree.

What are these "hybrid" ones and where are they from?

i found a supplier in hong kong selling "hybrid style" ones, the ones that are flooding ebay by the looks of it and they were extremly cheap

I was thinking the same thing as the Hybrid ones look very similar to the ebay ones. Best price so far I've seen is £250 + Shipping. Complete kit.

then there is in my opinion the best of the lot.

The lateral performance core, which occupies the largest area yet requires no cutting of the bumper. Shown here with aircon set up using reversed manifold and electric power steering pump.

Adam M, that does look very cool indeed.

How much does that cost from Lateral then? Is it cheaper than Pace etc?

Does it perform just as well?

Sorry so many questions. Amazing looking car !

lol, the pace was developed on my car in the first place.

The lateral rad was used on my car after the HKS fmic I had before seemed to be strangling the engine on the engine dyno.

The lateral was running 2 degrees above ambient at 2.0 bar of boost whilst flowing 560bhp. The HKS didn't get close to that kind of cooling capability and the Pace was ditched a few years in advance as it isn't even int he same league.

I believe the Lateral set up is a similar price to the Pace, if not slightly cheaper, though it does not come with pipe work as it is mostly fitted by those big power boys who have differing set ups.

Both come with rad and fans.

Both were originally designed by mark Aigin at lateral performance, but the pace didn't quite meet expectations on the basis that they adapted existing RS500 cores which didn't take advantage of the size of the bumper aperture available. The core was simply not deep enough and didn't have a large enough frontal area. This means its whole volume is down on what it should be meaning the space velocity is higher than necessary. High space velocity means the air doesn't hang around the core as long giving it less chance to cool down.

Quite simply the pace really was totally and utterly outclassed by both the HKS (cf. APS and hyperflow) and anhilated by the lateral performance core.
