No Spoiler
Im thinking of de-spoilering my silver classic, i saw one on here a while back with a wee diddy lip spoiler on the boot in blue. Has anyone got a pic of this or any other classic without a spoiler?

i had mine re-sprayed recently and run with it off for a week
tbh,i liked the look but when i posted pics on here to get peoples thoughts i put it back on,lol.
i don't normally do things for others but i did this time . . .
but,i am seriously thinking of removing it yet again
only trouble is,i have an STi6 replica and where the 1st bloke fitted it he's drilled holes in the middle of the lid and tightened them down that hard its actually made a ridge in the boot
so,may buy a new boot and spray/fit it

BMW 3 series...... staright fit, no modifying required.... doesn't appeal to everyone, but it's my car, and i like it!!
Plus, the biggest bonus was the extra 2 miles per gallon i got when i removed the 22b replica jobbie.... tested up to 150 so far.... it stayed on the car, and the car stayed on the track!!

MY93 WRX - has run a couple of times w/o the spoiler while I was attempting to respray it without the paint reacting.
You have to be aware that opening the boot from the remote pull by the driver's seat will see the boot almost flip itself through the back window!!

Not if you do what i did.... which was bolt about 2 kilo's of lead inside the boot lid to hold it down!! sounds daft, but i tried removing one of the torsion springs and then the lid wouldn't stay up.. so 2 kilo's was a small price not to get a sore head!!

Well as i still have the RA gearing, it doesn't go above about 130MPH without the limiter, so it isn't REALYY fast enough IMHO to affect the handling.....besides, it get's there faster without the extra weight.

Well mine is a Sport so tops out at 130mph like drb5s (one of the few times i can say that, lol) some good pics love the RAs its on my short list for my next car.
Ive been looking at lip spoilers too though because it does seem a little bear with nothing M3 style or a little bigger IS300 style

After seeing Rons car ages ago, I decided a change was in order So, off came the biplane s201 spoiler, and a quick filler and respray later back in january, I have my new look. With the addition of the new black wheels, I think most people havn't a clue whats just past them

They all look great. The white one without the side skirts is even better.
As for handling..... I seem to remember than most oe and some aftermarket spoilers actually generate lift! If the actual effect weren't so insignificant, you could say that it will most likely improve the handling.
