Default Opinions on my carbon spoiler and photoshop request...

Hi all,

I'm just in the process of trying to decide if I prefer my carbon STI6 spoiler or a coloured coded one. Can any photoshop wizzes out there do me a quick spray on my carbon spoiler to see what it would look like blue?

Cheers,

Wayne

LIDDO - Photoshop mate

Wayne - From Leeds, but I do frequent Hudds occasionally. Why don't you come and join some of us West Yorks guys on one of our meets/runs ? Pleny going on in the WYIOC forum We have a few guys from the Hudds area whom often join us, and our treasurer Chris (Harryboy) is in Highburton

Call me indecisive, but I'd go for the 50/50 look. Colour code everything except the wing blade, and key it in with some other minor carbon bits such as a front splitter, mirrors or scoop. Just don't go too far or it might get chavvy

I agree with corradoboy .. just have the spoiler blade bit in carbon.. Or colourcode the spoiler. Don't like the full carbon spoiler!

Thanks for the replies guys!

I thought about doing half/half but it look expensive and is there any special procedures when painting the carbon? Also, if you spray over carbon how can you get the weave to show through but still key the blue looking the same shade? This is why I thought I'd just swop to a painted GRP.

corradoboy - Yep, I'm definately gonna make the effort and get to one of the meeting. I didn't go to the one at the Aspley, but I was a day early. I didn't know it had be changed to the Sunday I'll take a look for the next meeting.

On the spoiler, I thought of doing 50/50 but I'm worried the spoiler will go a bit wonker with the paint/heat. I already have a carbon bonnet scoop so the balance isn't that bad. The reason I'm thinking of changing because I bought the car with the carbon spoiler but it wouldn't have really been my choice. I've now chance to change so I'm just trying to decide.

Cheers,

Wayne.

Wayne, a bit short notice but the next meet is tonight. It's a bit of an unusual one as we are meeting up at our long standing meet point, but then disappearing off to look at a couple of prospective new places (the current one has gone downhill recently). There's also a meet coming up in July at the Squires Cafe Bar (bikers place) that we may attend. Make your presence known in the WYIOC forum and we'll be happy to make you welcome sometime
