Looks like a sport due to the ride height, front brakes and seats.

Always woundered why people put turbo bonnets on a sport, do you not feel silly when a McDs special Corsa can blow you away from the lights

Car looks nice tho.

you know what, I'm not finished, you've pointlessly made me feel bad about not being able to afford a turbo but wanting a good looking car.
Check my posts, I not once claimed it to be a turbo.. and anyone with anyone Impreza knowledge knows what it is.
Heres to you crashing and losing insurance

You thought wrong... not all of them are. In fact, some here are blatantly rude!

Take no notice, it's them with the problem, not you

Looks like a lot of work went into that then!!!

Take no notice of the "spoilers" - with a community this big, you're bound to get some idiots there are plenty of Sports on here - driven well, a Sport will certainly hold its own against a Turbo

what's next then? de-tango?

Hi mate i own a sport too.

This site has some real nice people on it but also some not, just life i surpose.

Have a look here good friendly site and forum, even with a ew turbo owners that wont grace these site due to some bad attitudes.

Good pics from a mobile phone

Personally I'd rather drive a standard sport than a turbo look-a-like but nice looking car

Why do i sound like a tw@t.... i still stand by the question. Why do people put turbo bonnets on cars that aren't? I'm sure people here would have a right go at somebody with a Escort 1.4Gl and Cosworth kit......

The car would look just as good with the normal bonnet on, maybe with some uprated suspension.

And it's nothing to do with not being about to afford a turbo... i bet your sport costs more than a lot of the early JDM WRXs. And there is nothing to be ashamed of for having a sport, my question was why bother to make it something it isn't. Be proud you have a sport, the car looks good. I'm sure people on here would give you a (scooby) wave if they see you about without the turbo stuff on.

I'ts not a question of why people do that to cars... his post was celebrating how hard he had worked to clean his car. It wasn't a 'hey, look at my new scoop' thread. You chose an inopportune moment to basically take the p!ss.

Now you say 'be proud you have a sport' yet you ask derogatory questions such ''as do you not feel silly when a McDs special Corsa can blow you away from the lights''.

From where I'm sitting, that was an unnecessary remark that bore no relation to the thread topic whatsoever.

That's why you sounded like a tw@t to me.

Maybe he, like I, think it looks better with the scoop?

Fair play if he had Turbo 2000 badges on, but he hasn't, so what's the problem? Not like he's sticking STi stickers on a non-sti, like a hell of a lot of turbo owners do..

What people might be missing here is that he bought the car like that. Who is to say that he put the scoop on.

I say again, although wearily, his thread was regarding the hard work he put into the cleaning of his car. Not what our thoughts were in respect of his scoop, integrity, social standing, colour, creed, or anything else.

Oh aye, didn't notice that until I read your post! Interesting choice of location!

Car looks great by the way, nothing wrong at all with changing the bonnet to improve the looks of your car!

BTW - if anyone has a pre-facelift turbo bonnet going let me know!!

Thank you, the rest of the replies are great.. Big thank you to Soulgirl for fighting my corner

I can't afford the Insurance on a Turbo.. plain and simple. I didn't like the car without the scoop as I feel it sets the car off.

The Phone is the 6630 and I was in the grave yard visiting my mum

Again, I didnt mean to sound like a baby, but I wanted to share like the rest of you, how much work I put into my car.

Yes I hate the fact that a 1.8 saxo could keep up with me, so I dont race one :P

I have changed the sport to look how I like it, I'm sorry if you don't but its my car

0-60 in 8 seconds now, so its not that slow
